INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Using 12V Memory Saver with OBD II jack
1. Check that the Memory Saver is fully charged; with the selector switch in the "Internal Charging" position, the
yellow light (60%) must be on.
2. Turn off the lights of the vehicle and any accessories that might be operating.
3. Before changing the battery of the vehicle, make sure that the selector switch on the front is in the "0" position,
and connect the cable with an OBD II jack to the OBD II socket of the vehicle; then place the selector switch
on the front into the "OBD output" position; the green light will turn on to show that the OBD II output is active.
4. Disconnect the cables from the battery of the vehicle, making sure that they do not touch each other, and
disconnecting them, to prevent short-circuits.
CAUTION! Once the Memory Saver has been connected, the electric system of the vehicle is supplied power;
therefore, the cable terminals connected to the battery poles must be disconnected.
CAUTION! If a short-circuit occurs or nominal load exceeds 5A, the Memory Saver will electrically protect the
circuit by means of a fuse; it will start to supply power again only after the 5A fuse has been replaced and
proper absorption conditions have been restored.
5. Once the battery has been changed, place the selector switch into the "0" position and disconnect the OBD II
jack from the socket of the vehicle.
6. Charge the Memory Saver.
Using 12V Memory Saver with red and black clamps
1. Check that the Memory Saver is fully charged.
2. Turn off the lights of the vehicle and any accessories that might be operating.
3. Before changing the battery of the vehicle, make sure that the selector switch on the front is in the "0" position;
connect the input wire with a red clamp to the positive cable of the vehicle; then connect the output wire with
a black clamp to the earth of the vehicle; place the selector switch on the front into the "OBD output" position;
the green light will turn on to show that the OBD II output is active.
4. Disconnect the cables from the battery of the vehicle, making sure that they do not touch each other, to
prevent short-circuits.
CAUTION! Once the Memory Saver has been connected, the electric system of the vehicle is supplied power;
therefore, the cable terminals connected to the battery poles must be disconnected.
CAUTION! If a short-circuit occurs or nominal load exceeds 5A, the Memory Saver will electrically protect the
circuit by means of a fuse; it will start to supply power again only after the 5A fuse has been replaced and the
proper absorption conditions have been restored.
5. Once the battery has been changed, place the selector switch into the "0" position and disconnect the output
wire with a black clamp from the earth of the vehicle, and then the output wire with a red clamp.
6. Charge the Memory Saver.

PROTECTING THE ENVIRONMENT

This device is marked with the recycling symbol. It means that at the end of the life of the product,
you must dispose of it separately at an appropriate collection point, and not place it in the normal
domestic unsorted waste stream. This will benefit the environment for all.
• The batteries can be charged many times. At the end of their useful lives, they must be disposed of them in
accordance with environmental regulations.
• Do not burn the batteries to dispose of them; they might cause an explosion.
• The batteries must not be placed in the normal domestic unsorted waste stream.
• Do not short-circuit the battery terminals.
• If possible, operate the device in such a way as to fully discharge the battery before disposing of it.
