N1 - Slope down LED.
Time required for the current to reach its minimum value and
for the arc to go off.(0-10 sec.)
O1 - Post-gas LED.
Adjusts the gas outlet time after welding end. (0-30 sec.)
LEDs that can be selected only in the TIG AC (alternating
current) welding mode:
N Start LED
Adjusts the "hot-start" level to maximise starts in the TIG AC
mode for each electrode diameter. When this LED lights up,
the display H1 shows a numerical value that refers to the
electrode diameters. The operator can use the knob K1 to set
the diameter being used and obtain a good start immediately.
Adjustment range from 0.5 to 4.8.
LED O Wave
Selects the welding waveform.
When this LED lights up the display H1 will shows a figure
corresponding to the selected waveform (see table).
11 = square - square
33 = delta - delta
13 = square - delta
21 = sine - square
31 = delta - square.
This combination of numbers may be changed using the
encoder K1.
NOTE: The first digit in the figure refers to the negative or
penetration half-wave, the second digit refers to the positive or
cleaning half-wave.
Changing the type of waveform may also reduce arc noise
in AC welding.
P Hz LED
Adjusts the frequency of the alternating current. Adjustment
range 50 to 120 Hz.
Q LED Adjusts the wave balance.
Adjusts the percentage of the negative (penetration) half-wave
in the alternating current period.
Range -10 / 0 / 10 where 0 = 65% (recommended) -10 = 50%
and 10 = 85%.
F1 LED:
LED indicating that the device used to reduce the risk of
electric shock is in good working order.
D1 key:
Pressed briefly it activates synergy, wherever available, and
selects the LEDs Y, Z, A1, B1, C1 ("briefly" means less than
0.7 sec).
If the electrode diameter is not confirmed after the parameters
are selected, pressing this key briefly will cause exit from
synergy. If you wish to exit synergy after confirming the
electrode diameter instead, you must hold this key down for a
longer time (more than 0.7 sec.).
22 = sine - sine
12 = square - sine
23 = sine - delta
32 = delta - sine
Z LED: Material
The types of material that can be selected are in relation to the
welding process and they are:
In TIG AC mode aluminium (AL), magnesium (MG).
In TIG DC mode stainless steel (SS), copper (Cu), iron (FE)
and titanium (Ti).
A1 LED: Welding position
The abbreviations that appears on the display H1 meet ISO
6947 standards and correspond to the welding positions listed
in the figure.
The ASME codes consist of a number plus a letter. For greater
clarity, their symbols are shown here below:
B1 LED: Thickness.
The display E1 lights and displays the current setting; the
display H1 displays the thickness corresponding to the current.
Turning the knob K1 changes the thickness and the current will
also be adjusted accordingly.
Obviously, the thickness and corresponding current will be
measured in relation to the material settings and to the welding
position.
.
C1 LED: Electrode diameter.
The electrode diameter is displayed according to the material
settings (Z LED), position (A1 LED) and thickness (B1 LED).
The display H1 will show the recommended electrode without
flashing; the operator can use the knob K1 to also display
other diameters, but these will be shown flashing to indicate
that they are not the recommended ones.
V1 - 10-pin connector
This connector is connected to the remote controls described
in paragraph 4.
A clean contact is available between pins 3 and 6 to indicate
when the arc lights up (Max 0.5 A - 125 VAC/0.3 A - 110
VDC/1A - 30 VDC).

3.4. GENERAL NOTES

Before using this welding machine, carefully read the
standards CEI 26-23 / IEC-TS 6208. Also make sure the cable
insulating sheaths, electrode clamps, sockets and plugs are
intact, and that the cross section and length of the welding
cables are compatible with the current used.
3.5. MMA WELDING WITH COATED ELECTRODES
This welding machine is suitable for welding all (with the
exception of cellulosic) electrodes (AWS 6010).
