Introduction

This Maintenance Booklet is a guide to the correct
maintenance of your engine.
It includes all the information on maintenance intervals
and maintenance work.
The scope and frequency of maintenance work depend
primarily on the engine's operating conditions.
In order to ensure that your engine continues to oper-
ate safely, please have the work we have specified per-
formed regularly and in good time.
Always have maintenance work carried out at a quali-
fied specialist workshop.
DaimlerChrysler recommends any Mercedes-Benz
Service Centre for this purpose, since it has the necessary
expertise and tools for the work required. Work relevant to
safety or safety systems in particular must be carried out
at a qualified specialist workshop.

printing, and that changes may occur.
We therefore reserve the right to omit, modify or add
work items.

Confirmations

The workshop performing the maintenance work will
make a confirmatory entry in this booklet.
Maintenance work does not include any repair work
which may be necessary. A separate order must be issued
for repair work.
Your Mercedes-Benz Service Centre will be happy to ad-
vise you should you require any further information about
the maintenance of the engine.
