• Safe and risk-free use of the awning can be gua-
ranteed only if the awning is checked and main-
tained on a regular basis. Inspect the awning
regularly for signs of wear or damage to its
covering material or frame.
• In order to avoid damages, do not extend the
awning when there are strong winds, rain or
frost.
• The mounting material is designed for assembly
to concrete and reinforced walls. (e. g brick or
limestone). Another suitable bolt anchor must be
used if the unit is mounted on walls consisting of
other materials.
• The manufacturer accepts no liability for dama-
ges caused as a result of improper use or not
observing the operating instructions.
• Before unpacking the awning, make sure that
you have the correct tools and sufficient space in
a dry location to prepare the installation.
• We recommend a total of 3 persons for installa-
tion.
• Before installing, remove all packaging material
and all unnecessary utensils not required for ins-
tallation.
• Do not mount the product to walls or masonry
that is not suitable (e.g. horizontal curve). Do not
mount the product too high, or where it is very
windy (weather side). In this case, the awning
may be damaged and people may be injured.
• Only use the product where no tremors are to be
expected.
• Pay attention to the firm seating of all screws
and nuts when installing and afterwards. Not
observing this may result in dangerous personal
injury.
• The hinged arms and the awning must move
freely. Do not hang objects on the awning or the
hinged arms.
• The batteries or the radio remove control cannot
be charged, activated or dismantled. Do not
throw into fire. There is a risk of explosion!
• Do not expose the batteries to extreme tempera-
tures. Do not put the radio remote control on
radiators and do not expose to direct sunlight.
• Replace all used batteries with batteries of the
same type only.
• Never put the batteries into the battery compart-
ment the wrong way round. Caution! Explosion
hazard!
• Leaked battery acid may cause damages. When
batteries leak, remove the leaked acid from the
battery compartment with a cloth. In the event
that battery acid leaks, avoid contact with skin,
eyes and mucous membranes. After contact
with acid, immediately wash affected skin with
plenty of water and consult a doctor.
• Swallowing batteries is deadly. Keep batteries
out of the reach of children and animals. Obtain
immediate medical assistance if a battery is
swallowed.
• Remove empty batteries from the radio remote
control. Remove the batteries from the radio
remote control when you will not be using it for a
longer period of time.
Qualification
The installation instructions are designed for use by
a qualified technician who has thorough knowledge
of the following areas:
• Occupational safety, operational safety and
accident prevention regulations
• Working with ladders and scaffolding
• Handling and transport of long, heavy compo-
nents
• Working with tools and machines
• Installation of fixing materials
• Evaluation of the building structure
• Initial commissioning and operation of the pro-
duct
Electrical work:
• The fixed electrical installation must be carried
out in accordance with VDE 100 by an autho-
rised electrical specialist.
• The enclosed installation instructions for the
supplied electrical units must be observed.
• Do not attempt to repair the product yourself. In
the event of a fault, repairs should be carried out
by specialist personnel only.
Electricity supply:
• The awning may only be connection if the speci-
fications on the awning identification plate and/
or in these operating instructions match those of
the power source.
• The enclosed installation instructions and notes
for the supplied electrical components must be
observed.
• Please ensure that when pulling out cable con-
nections, that these are also connected up again
in the same order, in accordance with the wiring
diagram. Incorrect poling leads to product
damages for which the manufacturer is not lia-
ble.
• Switch the product off before making electrical
connections.
