Tasks performed on a stirring mechanism connected to the
remote control unit, for example cleaning, changing the stir-
ring mechanism tool, etc. may only be performed if the stir-
ring mechanism is protected from being turned on inadver-
tently by disconnecting it from the power supply.
To prevent the stirring mechanism from running unintentio-
nally at a previously set high rate of speed when it is turned
back on by the remote control unit, we recommend always
turning the adjusting button for the speed on the stirring
mechanism as far to the left as it will go before starting up the
stirring mechanism connected to the remote control unit.
To ensure problem-free functionality of the remote control
unit, dead batteries and discharged rechargeable cells (as
indicated by BATT on the display) should be replaced as
promptly as possible.

The remote control unit is designed to operate Eurostar stir-

ring mechanisms (also P4 and P7) with an adapter cable 5

meters long.

Please unpack the equipment carefully and check for any

damages. It is important that any damages which may have
10
arisen during transport are ascertained when unpacking. If
10
applicable a fact report must be set immediately (post, rail
or forwarder).
The delivery scope covers: an IKA RC 1, one adapter cable
and operating instructions.
Useful information
Commands for querying the actual value and setting the tar-
get value are sent to the connected device and the respon-
se that is received is evaluated. The target and actual speed
values are shown in the display. If an overload status
occurs, it will also be shown in the display.
After switching into REMOTE mode, it is no longer possible
for safety reasons to exit this operating mode. The device
will only switch back to the OFFLINE operating mode in the
event of a transmission error.
