the battery into the remote control,
press any key and check if the
remote control LED responds.
– Insert the plug of the motor into a
power outlet, you should hear a
soft signal sound from the motor.
(This sound can be very quiet!)
Test the motor with the remote
control:
– Plug the awning's power plug into a
properly installed power outlet. A
signal sound should beep.
– Press and hold down the extend
button[ ] (21) and the retract
button[ ](23) for about 6 sec-
onds. The red LED (19) on the
remote control (20) should light up.
– Replace the battery if the LED(19)
does not light up (see ► Inserting/
replacing the battery – p. 210).
– Disconnect the power plug from
the socket if the motor is not work-
ing or when no sound can be
heard. Contact the service centre
or a specialist if necessary.

Installation

WARNING! Risk of injury!
Install the awning only with the
help of two additional persons.
The awning is very heavy.
Three people are required
when mounting the awning in
the wall hooks. Do not try to
mount the awning by yourself. If
the awning falls off it can
become damaged and persons
may be seriously injured!

The awning may only be
installed on a surface with suffi-
cient load bearing capacity. The
minimum installation height
must be 2.5 m.
Note: Each person should
have their own platform ladder
when installing the awning.
ATTENTION! Risk of injury!
Make sure the ladders are posi-
tioned securely. Otherwise,
injuries can result. Only use lad-
ders that are suitable for such
installation work.
Note: Make sure the wall/ceil-
ing is level. Uneven walls/ceil-
ings may prevent the secure
mounting of the brackets (1).

Determine the position of the
awning
– Select a suitable installation loca-
tion.
– Make sure that you maintain a min-
imum distance of 20 cm above the
door frames when installing the
awning over balcony or patio
doors.
– Make sure you consider the drop
height when choosing the installa-
tion location. The drop angle can
still be changed after installation.
