1 Introduction

The MLM-81 is an 8-channel mixer, for mixing
units with line output (e.g. CD players, computer
tuners) and microphones to a mono output
channel. Hence, the MLM-81 is suitable e.g. as
pre-mixer for a microphone group (chorus, drums,
etc.) or as mixer in PA systems. The mixer
provides XLR and jack connectors as well as link
connectors and is designed for rack installation.
This user manual will show you how to install and
operate the device. Users of this product are
recommended to carefully read all warnings in this
manual and on the unit in order to protect yourself
and others from damage.

Product features

• Microphone line mixer for mixing up to 8 mono
input signals to 1 mono output
• 8 mic/line channels with separate level and tone
controls and signal LEDs
• Each channel with balanced XLR mic input and
unbalanced 6.3 mm jack (1/4") input
• Each mic input with optional 12 V phantom
power via DIP switches
• Master level control; master out via balanced 6.3
mm jack (1/4")
• Feed-through output (independent of master
control) for connecting a further MLM-81
• Each 6.3 mm line input can be separately
converted to a line output via internal jumpers
• Rack installation, 1 U
