• Only use original monofilaments with 1,4 mm ø and
original spools.
• Never press the cutting head on the ground, when do-
ing this you brake the turned-on motor.
• Never hit the cutting head on a hard underground,
otherwise you will unbalance and damage the motor
shaft.

4. Before use

WARNING! Before assembly, make sure that the
line trimmer is switched off and unplugged.
Fitting the edging wheel (Fig. 2 and 3)
NOTE: Tank care when unwrapping both halves of edg-
ing wheel (7) not to discard the two assembly screws
(ST3×12mm) attached.
1. Align both halves of the edging wheel (7) onto the
line trimmer housing as shown (Fig.2).
2. Secure the edging wheel (7) in place with the two
screws Supplied using a Phillips head screwdriver
(Fig. 3).
3. When secured ensure that the edging wheel is free
to rotate On the housing.
Fitting the safety guard (Fig.4)
1. Slide the safety guard (9) in the recess under the
edging wheel (7) and align with the screw from
underneath with the One screws (ST4.2×15mm)
supplied (Fig.4) using a Phillips head screwdriver.
Note: The edging wheel (7) should rotate on the trimmer
housing and not come into contact with the safety guard
(9) when both parts are fitted correctly.
WARNING! Never use the line trimmer unless the
safety guard is properly fitted.
Fitting the auxiliary handle (Fig. 5)
1. Place the auxiliary handle (2) on the bracket and
adjust the angle to a comfortable position.
2. Insert bolt through the bracket and auxiliary handle
(2), screw the auxiliary handle locking knob onto the
bolt. Do not overtighten.

5. Preparing the line trimmer for use

WARNING! The line trimmer runs for a few sec-
onds after it has been switched off. Let the motor
come to a complete standstill before setting the
tool down.
Telescopic shaft adjustment (Fig.6)
1. The line trimmer shaft can be adjusted to suit the
height of the operator. Loosen the telescopic quick
lock (3).
2. Adjust the telescopic shaft (4) up or down to the
appropriate height. Tighten the quick lock (3). Once
adjustment is complete.
Adjusting the cutting head (Fig. 7)
By adjusting the cutting head angle to any of the 4 preset
angles the line trimmer can be used to trim under low
hanging branches and shrubs or garden furniture.

Depress the head angle lock button (11) and adjust the
cutting head to the desired angle. Release the button
(11) and ensure that the cutting head locks in position.
Edging mode (Fig. 8 and 9)
In order to use the line trimmer as an edger, adjust as
follows:
1. Push the rotating head button (5) on the motor hous-

6. Starting the line trimmer

1. Connect the extension cord to a power supply.
