The INGRID - TRUDY stove must be connected to a
flue whose height must be the same or higher than
3.5/4.5 m by Ø 20.
2.8.1 Flue connection (Fig. 2.8.1)
Seal the fittings well and make sure that the flue pipe
fitting is inserted so the flue cross-section is not
reduced. If the draught is too strong, we suggest
installing a smoke regulator on the flue pipe fitting,
essential when draugh exceeds 20 PA.
2.8.2 Connection to the flue
Connection can be done directly to the flue using our
optional matt black painted steel pipe FLUE FITTING
KIT with spigot-and-socket-joints that are 20 cm in
diameter and 2 mm thick (Fig. 2.8.3). Spread a line of
fire-resistant sealing paste (silicone that resists
temperatures of 800°C) at the bottom of the socket
collar (located at the top), position the grid (9) on top of
the lid and then insert the pipe in the ECOPALEX and
in the flue fitting hole.

If the wall behind the stove is made of wood or other
combustible material, it will have to be insulated well
and there should be no combustible material for a
radius of at least 20 cm from the flue fitting hole.
Imperfect sealing may let air get through to the flue
which will result in a reduction of the ECOPALEX
draught and a quick and resistant blackening of the
door glass.

MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
3.1
CLEANING THE CERAMIC
Clean the steel cladding with a mild detergent and a
damp cloth. Do not wet with cold water when the stove
is hot as the thermal shock could cause the ceramic
cladding to break.

RAUCHFANG
Der Heizofen INGRID - TRUDY muss an einen
Rauchfang mit mindestens 3,5/4,5 m und Ø 20
angeschlossen werden.
2.8.1 Anschluss des Rauchfangs (Abb. 2.8.1)
Die Verbindungsstücke gut versiegeln und dabei
darauf Acht geben, dass das Einsatzrohr so in den
Rauchfang eingesetzt wird, dass dessen Querschnitt
nicht verringert wird.Bei Kaminen mit einem zu starken
Abzug ist die Installierung eines Rauchschiebers
empfehlenswert, der am Verbindungsrohr zum
Rauchfang angebracht werden sollte; die Montage
dieses Rauchschiebers ist bei einem starken Abzug
von mehr als 20 mm Wassersäule unerlässlich.
2.8.2 Verbindung mit dem Rauchfang
Die Verbindung mit dem Rauchfang kann direkt mit
Hilfe des VERBINDUNGSROHRSETS (Option), das
aus schwarzem, matt lackiertem Stahl besteht und
über eine Muffenkupplung mit 20 cm Durchmesser
und 2 mm Stärke (Abb. 2.8.3) verfügt, durchgeführt
werden. An der Muffenkupplung (im oberen Bereich)
etwas feuerfeste Schamotte (bis zu 800°C
hitzebeständig) auftragen, das Gitter 9 über dem
Decken anordnen, das Rohr am ECOPALEX und am
Rauchfang einstecken.

Sollte die Wand, an die der Ofen lehnt, mit brennbarem
Holz verkleidet sein, muss für eine angemessene
Verkleidung gesorgt werden und um die Öffnung des
Rauchabzugs darf sich in einem Umfeld von
mindestens 20 cm kein brennbares Material befinden.
Eine unvollständige Versiegelung kann einen
Lufteintritt in den Rauchfang mit darauf folgendem
schwächer werdenden Rauchabzug des ECOPALEX
und ein schnelles und hartnäckiges Schwarzwerden
des Türglases verursachen.

INSTANDHALTUNG UND REINIGUNG
3.1
REINIGUNG DER KERAMIK
Die Keramikverkleidung muss mit einem sanften
Reinigungsmittel und einem feuchten Lappen
gesäubert werden. Den Ofen, solange er heiß ist,
nicht mit kaltem Wasser in Berührung kommen
lassen, da dies einen thermischen Schock und das
Brechen der Keramikverkleidung verursachen könnte.
