Check waste container J at the back of
the machine before and after using, and
empty it if necessary.
1. Hole punching
Set adjusting wheel G to the PUNCH
setting (see fig. 1).
Set positioning point F in accordance
with the paper format to be used
(see fig. 2).
6
Punch a test hole in a scrap piece of
paper before punching holes in the
original.
Tap the stack of paper (max. 12 sheets
at 80 g per sheet) against a level surface
to even it, and then lay it in punching
slot C, aligning it to positioning point F.
Press lever A for hole punching forwards
and downwards (see fig. 3).
2. Binding
Use measurement template D to deter-
mine the size of the binder spine needed.
Place the wire binder spine, with the
open side facing upwards, into hook bar
E (see fig. 4).
Place the hole punched sheets into the
open teeth of the wire binder spine. Start
with the contents of the document (first
page at the top), then insert the cover
sheet and finally the back card (see fig. 5).
Set the desired binder spine diameter
on adjusting wheel G. Place the paper
stack into binder slot B with the wire
binder spine first. Pull lever A forwards
and close the binder spine in this way
(see fig. 6). Remove the bound docu-
ment. Check that the wire binder spine
is properly closed. If not, the closure can
be strengthened by pressing it once more.
