Safety
General
• T ake special care when preparing food for babies, the
elderly and infirm. Always ensure that the hand blender
shaft is thoroughly sterilized. Use a sterilizing solution
in accordance with the sterilizing solution manufacturers
instructions.
• N ever touch the blades while the machine's plugged in.
• K eep fingers, hair, clothing, and utensils away from moving
parts.
• U nplug after use and before Changing attachments.
• N ever blend hot oil or fat.
• D on't let children or infirm people use the hand blender
without supervision.
• N ever use a damaged hand blender. Get it checked or
repaired in your local place.
• N ever put the power handle in water or let the cord or plug
get wet-you could get an electric shock.
• N ever let the cord touch hot surfaces or hang down where a
child could grab it.
• N ever use an unauthorized attachment.
• Y oung children should be supervised to ensure that they do
not play with this appliance.
• C aution: performance 30 seconds, pause 4 minutes.
Chopper attachment
• D on't touch the sharp blades.
• R emove the chopper blade before emptying the bowl.
• N ever remove the cover until the blade has completely
stopped.
Important
• W ith heavy mixtures, don't use your hand blender for longer
than 30 seconds in any four minutes period-it'll overheat.
• O nly use your hand blender for its intended domestic use.
Before plugging in.
Made sure your electricity supply is the same as the one shown
on the power handle.
Before using for the first time
1. Remove all packaging and throw away the blade covers.
2. Wash the parts: see 'cleaning'.

To use the hand blender
• Y ou can blend baby food, soups, sauces, milk shakes and
mayonnaise.
For saucepan blending.
• T ake the pan off the heat and let it cool slightly. Otherwise
your hand blender could overheat.
1. F it the power handle inside the blender shaft, turn and lock
(1).
2. P lug in. To avoid splashing, place the blade in the food
before switching on.
3. H old the bowl steady. Then press either speed button (use
speed 1 for slower blending and to reduce splashing).
• D on't let liquid get above the join between the power
• M ove the blade through the food and use a stabbing
• I f your blender gets blocked, unplug before clearing.
4. After use ,unplug and dismantle.
To use the chopper
• Y ou can chop meat, cheese, vegetables, herbs, bread,
biscuits and nuts.
• D on't chop hard foods such as coffee beans, ice cubes,
spices or chocolate-you'll damage the blade.
1. Remove any bones and cut food into 1-2cm(1/2-1") cubes.
2. P ut the base/lid on the bottom of the chopper bowl. (This
stops the bowl sliding on the worktop.)
3. Fit the chopper blade over the pin in the bowl (4).
4. Add your food.
5. Fit the chopper cover, turn and lock (8)
6. Fit the power handle, turn and lock (2).
7. Plug in. Hold the bowl steady. Then press speed 2.
8. After use, unplug and dismantle.
