7. Never carry or pull the appliance by the power cord and do
not place anything on top of the power cord. Do not wind the
power cord around the appliance and keep it away from the
hot iron soleplate and the steam jet. Use the cord winder to
store the power cord and place the steam hose into its holder.
8. Never direct the steam jet onto electrical appliances, sockets,
animals or people.
9. Unplug the appliance when it is not in use or unattended, and
before cleaning. We recommend the use of a residual current
device (RCD safety switch) to ensure additional protection
during the use of electrical appliances. It is advisable to use a
safety switch with a rated residual operating current of 30 mA
maximum. For professional advice consult an electrician.
10. Do not make any adjustments to the appliance, cable, plug or
accessories.
11. Never leave the appliance unattended while it is in use or is
connected to the mains! Improper use leads to risk of injury!
12. Never take hold of an appliance that has fallen into water. Al-
ways take the plug out of the power socket before removing
the appliance from the water. Do not use the appliance again
until you have had its ability to function safely checked by SO-
LIS or a SOLIS approved service centre.
13. Never place the appliance, such that it could fall into water
(e.g. beside a bathtub).
14. Place the appliance so that it is never exposed to direct sunlight.
15. Never put sharp or pointed objects and tools into the appliance
openings. The appliance may become damaged – danger of
electric shock!
16. Do not shake or move the appliance during use. Keep the
steam iron station horizontal during use.
17. Only use the appliance as described in this user manual. Only
use the accessories provided, as incorrect accessories can lead
to damage of the appliance. If you iron sitting down, your legs
must not extend under the ironing board – the steam could
burn you!
