Follow these steps:
1. Open the cover at the rear of the station and the rear of the sensor.
2. Insert 2 1.5 V batteries type AAA for the weather station and close the cover. Then insert 2 1.5 V batteries type AA into the
sensor. Make sure to observe the correct polarity of the batteries according to the drawing at the bottom of the battery
compartment!
3. Outdoor temperature will be displayed on the weather station within 2 minutes. If outdoor temperature is not displayed,
remove the batteries from the sensor and reinsert them or long-press the TX button under the battery cover of the sensor
to again send signal from the sensor to the weather station.
4. Close the sensor cover and place the sensor outside on a dry, shaded place. We recommend placing the sensor on the north
side of the house. The range of the sensor may decrease substantially in areas with large number of obstacles.
5. The sensor is resistant to dripping water; however, it should not be exposed to sustained rain.
6. Do not place the sensor on metal objects; doing so will reduce the transmission range.
Switching Over to Another Channel and Connecting Additional Sensors
(The following procedure for connecting additional sensors is for a replacement sensor E05018. It does not apply to the sensor included
in the package).
1. Select the desired sensor channel number – 1, 2 or 3 – by pressing the CH button at the rear of the weather station. Then
press and hold the CH button, the
2. Remove the cover from the battery compartment and insert batteries (2× 1.5 V AAA).
3. Use the CH button to set the desired sensor channel number – 1, 2, 3 – which will be shown on the front panel display.
Data from the sensor will be loaded within 3 minutes.
4. If the sensor signal is not detected, remove the batteries, reinsert them and repeat the process.
Synchronisation of Lost Temperature Signal
In case the weather station is not showing data from the outdoor sensor, check:
• Distance of the station or sensor from sources of interference such as computer monitors or TV sets. It should be at least
2 meters.
• Whether the weather station or sensor is not in the proximity of metal objects and frames (such as window frames).
• Whether the weather station functionality is not affected by other devices using a similar frequency (wireless headphones,
wireless blinds control, gate control, garage door control etc.), or wireless devices used in the immediate neighbourhood.
• Maximum range of the wireless sensor is 35 m in an open area. The range depends on local conditions and the construction
materials of buildings.
• Transmission is also affected by interferences in the area. If reception fails, try to restore functionality by removing the batteries.
If there is interference to radio or television reception caused by the device's transmission, this can be removed by one of the
following measures:
• Reorient or relocate the antenna
• Increase the distance between the device and the receiver
• Consult with your dealer or an authorized service
The influence of ambient radio interference may result in poor data display.
Radio Controlled Clock – DCF77
The radio controlled clock provides the most accurate time on the European continent. The radio signal propagates via radio
waves (77.5 kHz) from a site near Frankfurt on the Main in Germany within a range of 1 500 km. This radio time signal automat-
ically takes into account summer (DST) and winter time, leap years and date changes. In standard conditions (at safe distance
from sources of interference, such as TV sets, computer monitors), the reception of time signal takes several minutes. If the clock
does not detect the signal, follow these steps:
1. Move the weather station to another location and try to detect the DCF signal again.
2. Make sure the distance of the clock from sources of interference, such as computer monitors or television sets, is at least
1.5 to 2 meters when receiving this signal. When receiving DCF signal, do not put the weather station in the proximity of
metal doors, window frames and other metal structures or objects (washing machines, dryers, refrigerators etc.).
3. In reinforced concrete structures (cellars, high-rise buildings etc.), the DCF signal reception is weaker, depending on the
conditions. In extreme cases, place the weather station close to a window toward the transmitter.
The reception of the DCF77 radio signal is affected by the following factors:
• thick walls and insulation, basements and cellars
• inadequate local geographical conditions (these are difficult to assess in advance)
• atmospheric disturbances, thunderstorms
• appliances with no interference elimination
• television sets and computers placed near the DCF receiver

DCF Signal Reception

If the batteries in the weather station are sufficiently charged, DCF signal reception and time setting will occur automatically.
The weather station will begin automatically searching for DCF signal 3 minutes after the insertion of batteries. The search for
signal takes 7 minutes. The

by pressing and holding the WAVE button. If you wish to cancel the manual search mode, again press and hold the WAVE button.
