✧ Fasten the mounting brackets to the switch panel using M6 screws.
✧ Fasten the 7XT34 device to the mounting brackets using M4 screws (no
hexagon bolts).
NOTE
If the control cabinet features supporting cross-beams, you do not need mounting
brackets for installation into the control cabinets.
Otherwise, use the 28-SEP mounting brackets C73165-A63-D200-*.

Unpacking and Packing the Device

The devices are packaged in the factory to meet the requirements of
IEC 60255–21.
Take normal care when unpacking and packing the device. Do not use force. Use
appropriate tools. Visually check the device for correct mechanical condition imme-
diately upon arrival.
Also observe any notes attached to the device.
Before energizing the device for the first time or after storage, leave it at the final
operating site for at least 2 hours to adjust to the temperature, minimize humidity
and avoid condensation.

Storage and Transport

Storage
Store the device in a dry and clean location. Store the device within a temperature
range from -25 °C to +55 °C (-13 °F to +131 °F). The relative humidity must not lead
to condensation or ice formation.
Siemens recommends a limited temperature range from +10 °C to +35 °C
(+50 °F to +95 °F) for storage.
Transport
If devices are to be shipped elsewhere, you can reuse the transport packaging.
When using different packaging, you must ensure that the transport requirements
according to ISO 2248 are adhered to. The storage packaging of the individual de-
vices is not adequate for transport purposes.
