Location and Function of Parts
1 Plug
Connect to the VF connector on the camera.
2 Stopper
Prevents the viewfinder from coming off the camera
when it is slid from side to side.
3 Tally indicator (rear)
Lights up when the camera receives a tally control
signal. This indicator can be covered when not in use.
4 Adjuster for the zebra pattern level range
No function on the BVP-550 series camera.
5 Diopter adjustment ring
Allows for optimal adjustment of focus.
6 Tally indicator (front)
Lights up when the camera receives a tally control
signal. Turn the TALLY switch !¡ OFF when not in
use. The brightness can also be adjusted with the
TALLY switch !¡.
7 PEAKING control
Turning this control clockwise adjusts the picture
sharpness, and makes focusing easier. This control has
no effect on the output signals of the camera.
8 CHROMA control
Adjusts the chroma level of the screen. This control
has no effect on the output signals of the camera.
9 CONTRAST control
Adjusts the contrast of the screen. This control has no
effect on the output signals of the camera.
!º BRIGHT control
Adjusts the brightness of the screen. This control has
no effect on the output signals of the camera.

!¡ TALLY switch
Controls the tally indicator 6 located on the front of
the viewfinder.
HIGH: The tally indicator brightness is set to high.
OFF: The tally indicator is disabled.
LOW: The tally indicator brightness is set to low.
!™ ZEBRA (zebra pattern) switch
No function on the BVP-550 series camera.
!£ DISPLAY switch
No function on the BVP-550 series camera.
