Start-up
Observe correct mains voltage!
Before putting the tool into operation, check that
the mains voltage and frequency on the type plate
match the details of your mains supply.
Use of extension cables: Use only extension
cables approved for the application range and with
an adequate cross-section. Otherwise the power of
the tool can be reduced and the cable can
overheat. Replace damaged extension cables.
Operating the power tool
On/Off
Press or release the On/Off switch 2.
Change speed
The On/Off switch 2 can be used for infinitely
variable speed control. Light pressure on the On/
Off switch 2 causes the machine to rotate slowly;
with increased pressure, the speed increases.
Select the direction of rotation
Operate the rotational direction switch only when
the machine is at a standstill!
 Set the desired direction of rotation.
Clockwise rotation:
For fixing.
Anticlockwise rotation:
For removing.
Important! Always press the rotational direction
switch up to the stop on the housing, i. e. until you
feel it engage.
When the rotational direction switch is in its middle
position, the machine cannot be switched on.
Setting the screw insertion depth
The screw insertion depth is regulated via the
adjustment ring.
1 turn = 1.6 mm.
Turning to the right: increases the insertion depth.
Turning to the left: reduces the insertion depth.
We recommend that you perform a trial operation
to determine the best setting.
Changing the tool
Disconnect the plug from the power source
before making adjustments,
accessories or storing the power tool.
This safety measure prevents accidental starting
of the power tool.
Wear safety gloves when changing the tool.
The tool insert can become very hot after
working for long periods and/or the cutting
edges of the tool insert are sharp.
Bit
To replace the bit, pull the depth stop 4 off. Then
remove the bit from the bit holder and insert a
new bit. Replace the depth stop 4.

Operating tips

After working for a long time at low speed,
you should run the power tool for approx. 3
minutes at maximum speed in idle to allow it
to cool.
Screws
Before screwing larger, long screws into hard
materials, it is advisable to predrill a pilot hole
with the core diameter of the thread to approx.
2/3 of the screw length.
Make sure that the bit and the screw correspond
in shape and size.
The bit must sit securely in the screw head to
ensure optimum performance.
Clutch
The screw can be placed on the idle bit when
the machine is running. The clutch engages as a
result of the pressure from the screwing
process. The clutch separates when the depth
stop is hit. The bit comes to a standstill again.
