• Porcelain surfaces: Due to the glass-like texture, most residues can be removed
with baking soda / water solution or a specially formulated cleaning agent. For
stubborn residues, use non-abrasive powder.
• Painted surfaces: Wash with mild detergent or non-abrasive detergent and warm
soapy water. Then rub it dry with a non-abrasive, dry and soft cloth.
• Stainless steel surfaces: To maintain the high-quality appearance of your grill,
wash it with a mild detergent and warm soapy water after each use, then dry with
a non-abrasive, dry and soft cloth. Persistent fat deposits may require the use of a
cleaning pad.
Regular care
• Allow the unit to cool down after each use and then wipe it with a soft cloth
dampened with soapy water (do not use detergents containing chlorine).
• Be sure to remove all food particles and food residue. Some marinades and oils
can be corrosive and attack the metal surface.
• Food residues that are not removed immediately after using the appliance will
burn to the surface each time the grill is used, making them increasingly difficult to
remove.
• There are a number of steel cleaners that can be used to clean the unit. Read the
instructions before use.
• Do not use steel wool as the particles will settle in the surface and begin to rust,
resulting in small brown spots on the surface. If scouring is inevitable due to
persistent food residue, use a nylon pad (non-abrasive).
• Do not use cleaners with abrasive components, but use creamy cleanser.
• Even if the unit is used occasionally, it is recommended that it be cleaned regularly
and left covered or placed in a covered area to protect it from the elements.
• Dirt and dust contain abrasive particles that can damage the surface of the grill.
• Stainless steel surfaces maintain their corrosion resistance longest when kept clean.
• Check the unit regularly, even if it has been covered, as condensation can build up
underneath the cover, which can lead to corrosion and damage the metal surface.
• Applying light oil, such as baby oil, also helps protect the device from the elements.
