• Check the connections and supply lines of the grill regularly for leaks. Use a
normal dishwashing detergent mixed with water and distribute this solution on all
connections. This also includes the cylinder valve on the hose. If there is a leak,
bubbles will appear at the appropriate location. Never use an open flame to test
the unit for leaks. Check the grill again for leaks after tightening or replacing the
leaking hose or valve.
Igniting a propane gas grill
• Open the cover before lighting the grill, as propane gas may have accumulated
under the cover or in the bottom of the grill due to a leak or open valve.
• Have a match or lighter ready before the propane gas is turned on. If the grill does
not ignite, turn off the control valves and wait five minutes before trying again. Keep
lighters and matches out of the reach of children.
IMPORTANT NOTES ON OPERATION AND USE
OF GAS CYLINDERS
General notes
• Never leave an ignited grill unattended.
• Never move an ignited grill.
• Use grill accessories with long handles and fireproof gloves.
• Wear short-sleeved clothing or tight-fitting clothing, as loose clothing may catch
fire. Never grill with a tie.
• The barbecue should be placed on a stable surface and away from shrubs, foot
traffic and superstructures. Keep in mind that the grill will remain hot after being
turned off and may cause burns to people who accidentally touch it. Stay with the
grill until it has cooled down.
• The grill should ideally be located 3 meters from the house or other objects
that could catch fire. The area adjacent to the grill should be kept free of any
obstructions that could block the air circulation for ventilation and combustion.
• Never use a grill indoors or in a garage.
• Only use the gas cylinder with a quarter to half turn. This exhausts the amount of
gas needed to use the grill. This also facilitates the twisting off of the gas when a
problem occurs. This is not the case if a clamp has been placed on the controller.
