Pin assignments for the PROFIBUS interface are shown in Figure 2-68. Follow the wiring
instructions included with the connector to terminate the wires.
There are no special wiring requirements for the DIN or panel-mount enclosures. On the harsh and
J-box enclosures, one of the network cables must enter through the smaller, 16mm gland identified
for PLC cabling in Figure 2-25, Figure 2-26 and Figure 2-27. No grommet is required to seal
around the standard PROFIBUS cable. The remaining network cable must enter through the larger,
25mm gland identified for PLC cabling in Figure 2-25, Figure 2-26 or Figure 2-27. Use the
supplied red rubber grommet in the gland to maintain the IP rating of the enclosure. The PROFIBUS
cables should be routed as shown in Figure 2-69 for the harsh enclosure and as shown in Figure
2-70 and Figure 2-71 for the J-box enclosure.
