To clean the pump:
To procced remove the plug from the power supply. Discharge the pump. Place a suitable tool (e.g.
screwdriver) into one of the openings of the strainer and pull it off the pump casing (see illustration).
Clean with a powerful jet of water strainer, impeller and pump case. Remount the strainer on the pump case
allowing it to snap in.
The model with EXTERNAL FLOAT-SWITCH (S) requires additionally the cleaning of the floater guideway.
Hence, unmount the floater from the holder at the pump case by pulling it off in a vertical position with the
floater showing to the handle. Clean the floater and the holder with a powerful jet of water. Remount the
floater vice versa as discribed.
The model with INTERNAL FLOAT-SWITCH/ALARM (SA) requires additionally the cleaning of the internal
floater and the alarm-contact. Hence, unmount the trenched plastic washer from the slide pipe of the
magnetic floater. Detach the magnetic floater off the slide pipe (see illustration).
The magnetic floater is fragile. Treat with care during removal, replacement and cleaning. The alarm
contact must not be unscrewed for cleaning. Clean the trenched plastic washer, magnetic floater, slide
pipe, floater housing and alarm contact. Remount the magnetic floater with magnet ring on the top on
the slide pipe first. Put the trenched plastic washer back on the slide pipe. Make sure that the plastic
washer snaps in completely compassing the whole slot of the slide pipe.
