4.3.3 Inspecting the inhalation valve disc
1. Check that the inhalation valve disc inside the mask body rests
evenly on the sealing area.
2. Detach the inhalation valve disc and check whether it is movable.
3. If necessary, insert a new valve disc.
4.3.4 Inspecting the exhalation valve disc

The following procedure applies only to X-plore 4740 and
X-plore 4790.
1. Grip the exhalation valve disc at the edge and pull it out.
2. Inspect the valve seat for contamination and damage. If
necessary, wipe it clean with a disposable cloth.
3. Replace the damaged valve seat.
4. Place the exhalation valve disc on a flat surface and check that it
lies flat and evenly.
5. Press the exhalation valve disc into the valve seat until it engages.
The disc should rest on the valve seat uniformly and completely
flat.
6. If necessary, insert a new valve disc.
