g. Pull the ends of the harness until the half mask rests tightly
against your face (A3).

The head harness can also be used in combination with a
protective helmet.
Only X-plore 4740 and X-plore 4790: By opening both locking
hooks, the half mask can be comfortably parked in front of your
chest (see page 5, Figure D).
Half mask with support ring:

a. Loosen the support ring:
Lift the lug with your thumb and pull the support ring as far as
possible in the direction of the arrow (B1).
b. Fit the half mask over your mouth and nose (B2).
c. Guide the support ring along above your ears and place it on
the back of your head.
d. Pull the ends of the support ring until the half mask rests tightly
against your face (B3).
3.2.2 Testing for leaks

Facial hair or facial features may impair the required tight seat
of the half mask - risk of poisoning!
The half mask must fit tightly and the respiratory filter must be
fitted before entering the contaminated area.
 Seal the respiratory filter or filter connection with your hand or an
aid (e.g. a piece of cardboard) and breathe in until a negative
pressure is created. Hold your breath for a moment.
The negative pressure should be maintained. If not, tighten the
harness or use a different mask size.
