Troubleshooting

The laser does not turn on
• Make sure batteries are installed according to the label in the battery
compartment.
• Make sure batteries are in proper working condition. If in doubt, use new
batteries.
The laser beams are blinking
The PL5 has a warning to advise the unit is out of level. Move the PL5 to a
more level position.

Service and repair

NOTE: Disassembling the laser level will void all warranties on the product.
For service assistance, contact your Agatec dealer.

Laser classification
The PL5 is a Class 2 laser, manufactured to comply with the international rules
of safety IEC 60825-1, 2007. Although the power of the emission of the

beam is less than 1mW in Class 2, the following cautions
are recommended:
• Do not stare directly at the beam
• Do not set up the laser at eye level

Warranty

The PL5 Comes with a two year warranty from Agatec except in North America where
the warranty is a One Year Over the Counter Exchange Warranty.
Agatec warrants PL5 tool against deficiencies in material and workmanship for a period
of one year from the date of purchase. Deficient products will be repaired or replaced at
Agatec's option or via the Exchange Warranty in North America. Proof of purchase is
required. This Warranty does not cover deficiencies caused by accidental damage,
wear and tear, use other than in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions or repair
or alteration of this product by a non authorized agent. Agatec shall not be liable under
this Warranty for indirect or consequential loss resulting from deficiencies in this product
or misuse of this product. Agents of Agatec cannot change this warranty. This Warranty
may not be varied without the authorization of Agatec.
NOTE: The customer is responsible for the correct use and care of the instrument. The
customer is responsible for checking the results when using this tool and should follow the
instructions on checking calibration prior to starting any project. Calibration and care are
not covered by any stated warranty.
