IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS:

• Use the unit only as described in this operating manual.
• Remove all the covering and marketing materials from the unit before the first use.
• Make sure you follow the marked polarity of the batteries when inserting and replacing them.
• If you are not going to use the unit for an extended period of time, remove the batteries.
• Do not leave the unit unattended when in use.
• Do not allow children or unskilled people to handle the unit. Use the unit out of the reach of these individuals
• Persons with limited movement capacity, reduced sensory perception, insufficient mental capacity or those
who are unaware of the proper handling should use the product only under the supervision of a responsible
person aware of these instructions.
• Take extra care when using the unit near children.
• Don't let anyone use the appliance as a toy.
• Use the unit only on a stable, horizontal surface.
• Before cleaning, assembly, or disassembly of the cover, switch the unit off and remove the batteries!
• Do not use abrasive or chemically aggressive substances to clean the unit.
• In case segments or digits are incorrectly displayed, try the so-called reset. Remove the batteries, wait for a
couple of seconds and put them back. If this procedure does not help, contact the vendor or an authorised
service centre.
• Do not use the unit if it does not operate properly, or if it has been dropped, damaged or exposed to any liquids.
Take the unit to an authorised service centre for testing and repair.
• The appliance is intended for domestic use only, not for commercial use.
• Keep the appliance away from any other heat sources such as radiators, ovens etc. Do not expose the unit to
direct sunlight or moisture.
• Do not touch the unit with wet or damp hands.
• The product is a fragile measuring device. Prevent it from crashing or falling. Do not jump on the weighing
surface.
• Do not repair the appliance yourself. Refer to an authorised service centre instead.
Failure to follow the manufacturer's instructions may lead to refusal of warranty repair.
