BELT DRIVE
1. Release the axle nuts
wheel with a 15 mm wrench.
2. Set the tension by tightening or loosening the rear wheel ac-
cordingly with the two chain tensioners
setting, ensure that the wheel is placed straight in the hold-
er and that the belt is appropriately tensioned. (cf. Checking
the belt tension)
4. Attach the wheel with the axle nuts
with a 15 mm wrench. Tighten the axle nuts according to the
torque specification (s. chapter torque specifications).
REPLACING THE BELT
1. Open the frame lock
wrench.
2. Pull the belt from the pulley manually and remove it through
the opened frame lock (if necessary, release the two axle
nuts for this).
3. Guide the new belt through the frame lock. Ensure that it is
not bent,crushed or twisted.
4. First put the belt onto the front pulley and then onto the rear
pulley manually from above.
5. A light turn of the rear wheel backwards will cause the belt to
run onto the rear pulley completely without any force.
6. Close the frame lock
screws with a 5 mm hexagonal socket wrench according to
the torque specification. (s. chapter Torque specifications).
7. If you have released the axle nuts, proceed as shown in the
chapter 'Setting the belt tension'.
MAINTENANCE & CARE
Check your belt drive for damage, material deformation or
cracks at every cleaning. In order to achieve a high longevity
of the system,. we recommend cleaning it with water or a
hand-held brush, e.g.after rides through mud or dirt. Residues
at the belt or the pulley may cause higher wear and noise de-
velopment (e.g. squeaking or creaking). If noise development
continues in spite of thorough cleaning, the inside of the belt
can be applied with a thin layer of dry silicone spray. This pro-
tects from further deposits, improves sliding properties of the
belt and reduces noise development.
