7. Manufacturer's instructions

Caution! Please follow all safety
instructions in this manual
Any kind of internal work on the gas detector
and its components, including maintenance
and repair work, may only be carried out by
the manufacturer's customer service or by
specialists authorised by the manufacturer.
If this point is not observed, it may lead to
damage to the device and/or its components.
Any unauthorised intervention endangers
the operator and the functional safety of the
device and/or its components, and limits any
warranty claims.
Exceptions are the actions described in the
chapter "Care and maintenance" .
Never blow tobacco smoke or similar gases
on the sensor head to "test" its function.
The tar residues in the smoke may settle
on the surface of the sensor and reduce its
sensitivity.
The sensor head's diffusion area must be
kept clean and free of oil and grease in
particular. Spraying the sensor head with
evaporating liquids or gases will falsify the
subsequent display values and lead to error
messages.
Avoid all contact with substances or gases
containing silicone.
If the SelectH mini gas detector has not

been used for a long time, or has been kept
in dirty, highly contaminated air, this may
lead to absorbate deposits on the sensitive
gas sensor inside the device. This may lead

to the device displaying a gas concentration
that is not present. Repeatedly switching
the device on and allowing it to heat up
will clean the sensor, allowing it to return
to its original zero point. The device can
now be used again. If this is not the case,
test the uncontaminated air outside to check
whether the inside air is contaminated.

7.1 Care of the device

Switch off the device!
Switch off the gas detector before
cleaning. Remove the charging
adapter from the gas detector's
charging socket.
Attention!
The outside of the gas detector may
only be cleaned with a soft, slightly
damp cloth. Do not use any chemical
cleaning agents, scouring agents or
solvents.
In the event of long periods without use,
pack the gas detector and its components
appropriately in a dry storage environment,
free of any contaminations and impurities,
and protected in particular against the
influence of chemical substances such as
silicone.
