In an EMERGENCY SHUT-OFF situation it is possible to switch off
all valves while the PLC and the serial interfaces are still
running, due to the two separated pins.
Switching off the electronics of the bus coupler, causes stop
mode at the PLC and makes a PLC restart necessary.
7.2

Data line connection

The VS is connected to the bus system through two B-coded
5 pin M12 connectors (socket and plug) with the following pin
assignment. The plug X7P2 is used for the incoming bus and the
socket X7P1 is used for the outgoing bus to the next module:
1 Pin 1: 5 V supply (max. 60 mA)
2 Pin 2: A-dataline
3 Pin 3: 0 V supply (5 V)
4 Pin 4: B-dataline
5 Pin 5: FE
On VS a preassembled M12 plug, which also guarantees the
protection class IP 65, is used as a terminating resistor.
The terminating resistor is designed for line type A
PROFIBUS DP (wave drag 135 Ω – 165 Ω).
The participants which have to have the terminating resistor are
signed with an "R".
