Unter Funktion des Wandlers kann zunächst gewählt werden, welche Daten-
typen in einander überführt werden sollen. Generell gilt: Das erste Bit/Byte
(0) ist stets das niederwertige, das letzte Bit/Byte (z.B. 7) ist das hochwertige.
Das folgende Beispiel zeigt die Umsetzung von 1-Byte in 8 x 1-Bit:
