Basic operation

Switching the camcorder on and off
To switch the camcorder on, open the LC display.
To switch the camcorder off, close the LC display or press
the On/Off button.
When the LC display is open, you can switch the camera
on or off using the On/Off button.

Changing the operating mode

After start-up, the camcorder is in recording mode. You can
start taking photos or filming immediately.
Press MODE to change from recording mode to playback
mode.
Press MODE again to change back from playback mode to
recording mode.

Making recordings

Films

Open the LC display flap.
Select the required framing using TELE/WIDE-ANGLE.
Press the FILM shutter to begin filming.
The microphone is switched on during filming. Sound
is recorded automatically.
During filming, the time is shown on the LC display (hours:
