6 Recharging of Batteries
It is possible to recharge a 9 V rechargeable battery
(6F22) and up to two 1.2 V rechargeable batteries of
size AA with the active speaker system.
Important: Recharging the batteries is only possible
with a mains operated active speaker system.
Caution! Only rechargeable nickel cadmium bat-
teries can be recharged. Dry batteries are not re-
chargeable and charging them may result in leak-
age or explosion!
1) Remove the cover plate on the rear side of the unit.
2) To recharge a 9 V battery, attach the poles of the
battery to the snap-on contacts (21), and insert the
battery into the right-hand recharge compartment
(19).
To recharge batteries of size AA, insert the bat-
teries into the left-hand recharge compartment (20).
Observe the correct polarity: insert the batteries as
printed in the battery compartment. (It is also pos-
sible to recharge a single battery: insert the battery
into the left or right half of the compartment.)
3) Put the cover plate back in place and switch on the
active speaker system with the POWER switch (8).
While batteries are recharged, PA application of the
unit is still possible.
4) During recharging, the respective recharge LED
lights up:
LED "6F22 Recharge" (17)
for the 9 V battery
LEDs "AA Size Recharge" (18)
for the left (LED L) and right (LED R) battery of
size AA
5) If the respective LED is extinguished, recharging is
completed. Remove the cover plate and take out
the battery/batteries.
