Troubleshooting Guide

Problem
Aircraft will not respond to throttle
but other controls function
Aircraft rudder response is
inconsistent or requires extra trim
to neutralize rudder movement
Aircraft LED flashes and
aircraft cannot be controlled by
transmitter
Aircraft does not function and
smells burnt after connecting
flight battery
Aircraft appears to show
significant decrease in flight time

Possible Cause

• T hrottle and throttle trim not
lowered at aircraft initializing
• Y our transmitter throttle
channel might be set to the wrong
direction.
• A ileron and/or elevator channel
not centered
• A ircraft moved during initialization
• U ser powered on transmitter
less than 5 seconds after
connecting flight battery
• A ircraft is bound to another
transmitter
• T ransmitter too near aircraft at
initialization or binding
• L arge metal object (furniture,
vehicles, etc.) too near aircraft at
initialization
• F light battery connected in with
wrong polarity
• F light battery is not fully charged
• I nadequate power to flight battery
charger
• F light battery (EFLB5001S)
damaged by over-discharge

Possible Solution
• L ower throttle stick and throttle
trim to lowest settings
• O n Spektrum and JR transmitters,
set the throttle channel servo
reversing to normal direction.
-or-
On Futaba transmitters using
DSM2 modules, set the throttle
channel servo reversing to reverse
direction.
• D isconnect flight battery, center
rudder trim and re-initialize
aircraft
• D isconnect flight battery and
re-initialize aircraft while keeping
aircraft from moving
• D isconnect then connect flight
battery
• B ind aircraft to a desired
compatible transmitter
• M ove transmitter at least 2 feet
(50cm) from aircraft before
connecting flight battery
• M ove away from large metal
objects and connect flight battery
• R eplace 5-in-1 board (BLH3101).
Connect flight battery so 5-in-1
power connector boss fits in
channel in flight battery plug
• F ully charge flight battery
• M ake sure AC power supply,
charger and adapter cord are
connected
• R eplace flight battery. Refer to
Battery Warnings and Guidelines
