Preparation of tests
• The device is switched on by pressing the on/off switch (6).
• The test range from 50 V to 1000 V is set after switching on. This is indicated by slow flashing
of the red LED in the display (3).
Brief pressing of the on/off switch (5) sets the sensitivity range from 12 V to 50 V. This is
indicated by fast flashing of the red LED in the display (3). Voltages from 50 V to 1000 V are
also indicated in the range from 12 V to 50 V. If a voltage source above 50 V is in the vicinity
of a 12 V voltage source, the tester will detect the more powerful one.
• The flashing red LED demonstrates readiness.
• The tester is switched off by pressing the on/off switch (5) for a duration.
• The tester turns off automatically after approx. 3 minutes of inactivity.

Performing tests

a) Voltage test
• Move the device slowly along the tested object, e.g., a cable
• If the device detects alternating voltage in the 12...50 V mode, the red LED flashes, the motor
vibrates and the tone generator produces a beeping sound signal.
• If the device detects alternative voltage in the 50...1000 V mode, the red LED glows continu-
ously, the motor vibrates and the tone generator produces a continuous sound signal.
• Testing may be influenced by the position of the ground wire in the tested object.
b) Magnetic field tests
• Move the device slowly along the tested object
• If the device detects a magnetic field, the yellow LED lights up.
• In case of simultaneous detection of electric and magnetic fields, the yellow and the red LEDs
will flash alternately
c) Rotating field test
• Press the on/off switch (6) and the torch button (7) at the same time until the rotating field
LED (4) is illuminated in yellow.
• Touch a phase with the test tip (1) of the tester until the motor vibrates.
• Remove the tester away from the contact until the motor stops vibrating.
• Touch the next phase until the motor vibrates.
• The shorter the delay between touching of the first and second wire, the higher the accuracy
of the test.
• The colours of the rotation direction LED (4) indicate:
Red:
anti-clockwise field (L1 – L3, L2 – L1 or L3 –L2)
Green:
clockwise field (L1 – L2, L2 – L2 or L3 –L1)
Blue:
the same phase (L1 – L1, L2 – L2 or L3 –L3)
Yellow:
Ready for operation
A beep together with a red light in the indicator of the voltage test (3): Error due to too long
delay between touching of the two wires to be tested. Restart the test from the beginning
Wait until the rotating field LED (4) is illuminated in yellow without vibration before starting the
next test.
The tester is optimised for CEE plugs
The wiring can influence the rotating field display
To exit the rotating field mode, please press the on/off switch (6) and the torch button (7) at
the same time.
d) Torch
Switch the torque on by pressing and holding the „torque" button (6). The torque function can
only be used when the device is switched on
Cleaning
Prior to cleaning the device, switch the product off.
Live components may be exposed, if the covers are opened or parts removed
(unless this can be done without tools).
• Do not use scouring, chemical or aggressive cleaning agents such as benzene, alcohol or
similar chemicals. These might attack the surface of the device. Furthermore, the fumes are
explosive and hazardous to your health. Moreover, you should not use sharp-edged tools,
screwdrivers or metal brushes, or the like for cleaning
• To clean the device, use a clean, slightly damp, fuzz-free, antistatic cleaning cloth.
Disposal
a) Product
Electronic devices are recyclable and do not belong in the household waste.
Dispose of an unserviceable product in accordance with the relevant statutory regu-
lations.
Remove any inserted batteries/rechargeable batteries and dispose of them sepa-
rately from the product.
b) Battery
As the end user, you are required by law (Regulation on Spent Batteries) to return all dead
batteries and accumulators. Disposal in the household waste is prohibited.
Batteries/rechargeable batteries contain harmful materials and are labelled with the
symbol shown to indicate that disposal in the household waste is forbidden. The
symbols of the critical heavy metals are: Cd = cadmium, Hg = mercury, Pb = lead
(the marking can be seen on the battery/rechargeable battery, e.g., underneath the
refuse bin symbol shown on the left).
You can return your used batteries/rechargeable batteries free of charge at the official col-
lection points of your community, in our stores, or at places where batteries or rechargeable
batteries are sold.
