5 Operation

1) Open the cover plate (4): Firmly press the spot indi-
cated by the arrow in fig. 1. The cover will unlock
and open downwards to allow access to the switch
"50 – HZ – 60" (3). Use the switch for adjusting the
monitor to the video standard of the connected
video source:
When using the European video standard CCIR
(625 lines, 50 frames per second), set the selector
switch to the left position "50".
When using the American video standard EIA
(525 lines, 60 frames per second), set the selector
switch to the right position "60".
Close the cover plate and firmly press the spot in-
dicated by the arrow in fig. 1 to lock it.
2) Switch on the monitor with the switch "POWER" (5).
The power LED (2) will light up.
3) Switch on the connected video source and adjust
an optimum picture with the brightness control
"BRIGHT" (9) and the contrast control "CONT" (10).
4) In case of rolling of the picture (fig. 3), adjust a
steady picture with the control "V-HOLD" (11).
5) Adjust the desired volume for the speaker with the
control knob (1).
6) After operation, switch off the monitor with the
switch "POWER".
If the monitor is not used for a longer period, dis-
connect the plug-in power supply unit from the
mains socket as it will have a low current consump-
tion even with the monitor switched off.
