nächsten Monitors verbinden. An die zweite
BNC-Buchse lässt sich aber auch alternativ ein
Videorecorder für Aufnahmen anschließen.
Wichtig:
Kein unbenutztes Kabel in den BNC-Buchsen (9)
stecken lassen, weil dann die automatische Im-
pedanzumschaltung (75 Ω/hochohmig) für den
Videoeingang nicht korrekt arbeitet.
3) Ist die Kamera mit einem Mikrofon und entspre-
chendem Vorverstärker ausgestattet, das Tonsi-
gnal über ein abgeschirmtes Kabel auf eine der
beiden Cinch-Buchsen AUDIO (8) geben.
Von der zweiten Cinch-Buchse AUDIO kann
das Tonsignal zu einem zweiten Monitor oder zu
einem Videorecorder weitergeleitet werden.
4) Mit dem Umschalter (10) den Monitor auf die
Videonorm einstellen, mit der die Videoquelle
arbeitet:
Bei Verwendung der europäischen Videonorm
CCIR (625 Zeilen, 50 Halbbilder pro Sekunde)
den Umschalter auf CCIR stellen.
Bei Verwendung der amerikanischen Videonorm
EIA (525 Zeilen, 60 Halbbilder pro Sekunde) den
Umschalter auf EIA stellen.
5) Zum Schluss das beiliegende Netzkabel zuerst
in die Buchse AC IN (7) des Monitors und dann in
eine Steckdose (230 V~/50 Hz) stecken.
4 Setting into Operation
All connections must be made or changed only with
the unit switched off.
1) Use one of the two BNC jacks VIDEO (9) as a
video input. Connect the jack via a 75 Ω coaxial
cable to the video output of the video source (e. g.
surveillance camera, camera switcher, video
splitter, video recorder for reproduction).
2) Use the other jack VIDEO as a feed-through out-
put: If several monitors are to be set up for paral-
lel surveillance, connect the second BNC jack re-
spectively via a 75 Ω coaxial cable to the video
input of the next monitor. Alternatively, it is also
possible to connect a video recorder for record-
ings to the second BNC jack.
Important:
Do not leave any unused cable connected to the
BNC jacks (9) because in this case the automatic
impedance switching (75 Ω/high impedance) for
the video input will not operate correctly.
3) If the camera is equipped with a microphone and
a corresponding preamplifier, feed the audio sig-
nal via a screened cable to one of the two phono
jacks AUDIO (8).
It is possible to pass on the audio signal from
the second phono jack AUDIO to a second moni-
tor or a video recorder.
5 Bedienung
1) Den Monitor mit dem Netzschalter (6) einschal-
ten. Die Betriebsanzeige (5) leuchtet.
2) Nachdem alle Geräte der Überwachungsanlage
eingeschaltet wurden, mit dem Helligkeitsregler
BRIGHT (3) und dem Kontrastregler CONTRAST
(4) ein optimales Bild einstellen.
3) Wenn das Bild durchlaufen sollte (Abb. 3), mit
dem Regler V-HOLD (2) ein stabiles Bild ein-
stellen.
4) Mit dem Regler VOLUME (1) die Lautstärke ein-
stellen. Wird kein Tonsignal auf den Monitor ge-
geben, den Regler auf Minimum stellen (entge-
gen dem Uhrzeigersinn drehen).

4) With the selector switch (10) adjust the monitor to
the video standard with which the video source
operates:
When using the European video standard CCIR
(625 lines, 50 fields per second), set the selector
switch to CCIR.
When using the American video standard EIA
(525 lines, 60 fields per second), set the selector
switch to EIA.
5) Finally connect the supplied mains cable first to
the jack AC IN (7) of the monitor and then to a
mains socket (230 V~/50 Hz).
5 Operation
1) Switch on the monitor with the power switch (6).
The POWER LED (5) lights up.
2) After all units of the surveillance system have
been switched on, adjust an optimum picture with
the brightness control BRIGHT (3) and the con-
trast control CONTRAST (4).
3) If the picture should roll up or down (fig. 3), ad-
just a stable picture by means of the control
V-HOLD (2).
4) Adjust the volume with the control VOLUME (1).
If no audio signal is fed to the monitor, set the
control to minimum (turn it counterclockwise).
