Installation of the oscilloscope
Please install the oscilloscope by means of the handle or the foot in such a way that you can
easily operate and read it.
Avoid direct sunlight over a longer period since this could damage the screen.

In order to comply with the tolerances in the technical data, the oscilloscope
must have been in operation within the range of operating temperature for
at lest 20 minute.
Cleaning
Before cleaning the device, the following safety notes must be observed:
When you open covers or remove parts – unless you can do this by
hand – life parts can be exposed.
Therefore, all the connected lines must be disconnected from the device
before cleaning and maintenance.
Do not use any carbon-containing cleaning agents or benzenes, alcohol or the like to clean the
product. This can affect the surface of the oscilloscope. Furthermore, the fumes are hazardous
to your health and explosive. Moreover, you should not use sharp-edged tools, screwdrivers
or metal brushes or similar for cleaning.
For cleaning the device or the display and the measuring lines, use a dry, clean, fuzz-free,
antistatic cloth.


Replacing the fuse

If the oscilloscope cannot be started again, the mains fuse might have been triggered.
To replace the fuse, proceed as follows:
• Disconnect all measuring lines from the device and switch it off.
• Disconnect the power cable from the device.
• Lift the fuse holder in the IEC socket with a suitable screwdriver.
• Replace the defective fuse with a new fuse of the same type.
In the case of different operating voltages, different micro-fuses are required. Use a micro-
fuse (5 x 20 mm) with the following technical data:
Operating voltage Fuse value
100 - 120 V T1A 250V
230 V T0.4A 250 V
• Position the fuse holder suitable for your operating voltage. Observe the arrow marking on
the fuse holder. The arrow must point at the corresponding voltage value.
• Press the fuse holder into the device until it snaps in.
• The oscilloscope can be operated again.
Disposal
 Used electronic devices are raw materials and must not be disposed of in the
domestic waste. When the device has reached the end of its service life, please
dispose of it in accordance with the current statutory requirements at your local
collecting points.
It is forbidden to dispose of it in the domestic waste!
Thus, you comply with the legal obligations and make your contribution to
environmental protection.
