• Folding seats must always be locked in place.
• After purchasing, install the seat in your vehicle.
If you encounter any installation problems due to
the length of the vehicle seat belt, contact your
distributor immediately (prior to use).
• If in any doubt about the correct installation or
use of the system, the user is advised to contact
the distributor or the manufacturer
of the child restraining device system.
• Do not use carrier contact points other than
those described.

Maxi-Cosi Citi in aeroplanes:
• Installation of the Citi on an aircraft seat differs
from the installation on a car seat.
• Installing the Citi with a 2-point safety belt is only
allowed when used in an aircraft.
• In an aircraft, the Citi may only be used on
forward-facing passenger seats.
• The belt buckle must not be positioned within
the belt guiding of the Citi. Otherwise a safe
attachment does not exist.
• The Citi must remain belted on the aircraft seat,
even when unoccupied.
• The Citi is only for use on an aircraft seat
authorized by the airline.
• The safety of your child for not complying with
the installation and instruction manual is not
guaranteed.
WARNING:
• Never leave the child unattended.
• Do not use the car seat when used as a reclined
cradle once your child can sit unaided.
• This car seat when used as a reclined cradle is not
intended for prolonged periods of sleeping.
• It is dangerous to use this car seat when used
as a reclined cradle on an elevated surface, e.g.
a table.
• Always use the restraint system.
• Never use the toy bar to carry the car seat when
used as a reclined cradle. This car seat when used
as a reclined cradle does not replace a cot or a
bed. Should your child need to sleep, then he
should be placed in a suitable cot or bed.
• Always verify that the crotch strap and harness
are correctly adjusted and locked even if the child
is set for a short time.
• Be sure to check that your car seat used as a
reclined cradle does not contain any loose screws
or any other part which might injure the child or
catch or trap his or her clothing (ribbon, dummy,
necklace etc...), and thus cause strangulation.
• Do not use your car seat as a reclined cradle if
any components are broken or missing.
• Check that the locking mechanisms are correctly
engaged and adjusted before using your car seat
as a reclined cradle.
• Ensure that your car seat when used as a reclined
cradle is on a solid surface and is positioned
at a safe distance from any device capable of
producing an open flame, sources of intense
heat, electrical sockets, extension leads, cookers,
stoves...etc, or any object within the child's reach.
• Do not use accessories or replacement parts other
than those approved by the manufacturer. Using
other accessories can be dangerous.
