Battery detached: for a definite time complete charge. During the charge a
control algorithm checks the charge state and harmonizes to it the current
decrease to ensure a quick charge and to prevent the battery overheating that
could cause the boiling of the electrolyte and the formation of flammable gases.
Moreover, a pulse charge profile, duly modulated, carries out the "Charge
acceptance" phase to recover partially sulphated batteries. ATTENTION: to allow
the recovery attempt of the battery in this mode the control on the
battery voltage limit is lowered to the minimum value, hence pay utmost
attention during the battery voltage selection.

Power supplier: this function allows the supply of the car on board power supply
either with attached or detached battery. It is of help during a diagnostics, a
vehicle repair or in any case if long lasting connections of loads is required, or
simply to maintain the supply of the car electronic devices during the battery
replacement.
•
Slow charge: it is also called Week-end charge and allows a more effective deep
charge. To recondition very flat and 'seasoned' batteries a very soft profile is
applied until reaching the battery nominal capacity. Automatically at the end of
charge a maintaining charge profile is applied to compensate for the battery self-
discharge.

First charge: it is used for the "new" lead batteries formation when the
electrolyte solution is charged. The first charge can also be used as fast charge
when the battery is not connected to the vehicle.

Setup

•
Select SETUP from the initial menu by the cursor shift buttons (6) and press
ENTER to display the menu:
•
Press ENTER to select the language (at each pressure of the button the display
shows a different language ). Press STOP to go back to the initial menu.

Select Setup Memory M1 by the cursor shift buttons (6) and press ENTER to
display in sequence the following messages: SELECT BATTERY, TYPE OF CHARGE,
SELECT. BATTERY Ah and TYPE OF BATTERY. After selection and confirmation by
ENTER of the required parameters press STOP to go back to the initial menu.

Select Data. logger by the cursor shift buttons (6) and press ENTER to
display the menu allowing the selection of transmission to a PC of the battery
charger functioning state. Press STOP to go back to the initial menu.
