PRELIMINARY OPERATIONS

2.1 - Powering
The battery charger can be switched on and off by means of the ON/OFF
power switch (see chapter 1.2) at the rear of the instrument.
The cables must not be connected to the battery during the
powering phase.
If connection is detected, the DISCONNECT BATTERY CABLES message
will appear on the display along with an intermittent ringing signal.
After having been powered, the instrument will automatically proceed with an
autotest lasting about 2 seconds. If operation is correct, all the display
pixels will come on accompanied by a ringing signal.
The SELECT CHARGE TYPE message will appear if the powering phase has
been correctly carried out.
2.2 -

Language setup

The instrument is preset for dialogue in the ITALIAN language.
• To select the desired language, digit SELECT and keep this key
depressed for about 10 seconds while the battery charger is powered by
means of the ON/OFF (see chapter 1.2) power switch.
The LANGUAGE PROG. ITALIAN message will appear on the display.
• Select the other languages by digiting SELECT: every time the key is
pressed a different language is displayed.
• Confirm the desired language by digiting ENTER.
Once the language has been selected, the SELECT CHARGE TYPE message
will appear on the display.
The instrument will now be ready to operate.
