2. Setting up
Keep the gas cylinder in a secure position to prevent it from falling over. Close
valve of gas bottle. Use adjustable pressure governor (1 to 4 bar). The use of
fi xed pressure governors (e. g. 1.5 bar) is possible, however the burner does
not produe the full power. Connect approved gas hose to the gas bottle and to
the screwed nozzie (3) of the gas burner. (Attention! Both sides have left hand
threads G ⅜").
WARNING
Set the gas pressure to 1 bar. Check the system for leaks!

3. Operation

Use eye protection
Open gas cylinder valve. If necessary, set gas pressure as specifi ed in 1.6.
The valve incorporated in the gas burner is opened by pressing the soldering
torch push button (1). Simultaniously the spark generator (Piezo igniter) produces
a spark into the burn pipe igniting the gas. Particularly with fresh connections
repeated use of trigger is sometimes necessary until the air in the hose has
vanished.
If the push button is released, the valve incorporated into the gas burner cuts
off the gas supply and the fl ame goes out.
When trigger is pulled and snap-in locking (2) activated, the trigger can be
released and the burner functions independently. Through renewed use of the
trigger the snap-in locking is de-activated. lf the trigger is released the fl ame is
extinguished.
During the soft solder process the tip of the fl ame cone should be kept off
the material by about 10 to 15 mm. lf necessary the fl ame size can be reduced
by decreasing the gas pressure.
5. Action of faults
5.1. Fault: Soldering torch not burning or burning with only a weak fl ame.
Cause:
● Gas cylinder valve closed.
● Gas cylinder empty.
● Hose defective.
● Burner nozzle blocked.
● ROLLER'S Jet-Fire defective.
5.2. Fault: Soldering torch not igniting (but does burn with external ignition, such as a match).
Cause:
● Spark generator (piezo ignition) defective.
6. Disposal
ROLLER'S Jet-Fire may not be thrown in the household waste when it has
reached the end of its life but must be disposed of properly according to legal
regulations.
7. Manufacturer's Warranty
The warranty period shall be 12 months from delivery of the new product to the
fi rst user. The date of delivery shall be documented by the submission of the
original purchase documents, which must include the date of purchase and the
designation of the product. All functional defects occurring within the warranty
period, which are clearly the consequence of defects in production or materials,
will be remedied free of charge. The remedy of defects shall not extend or
renew the warranty period for the product. Damage attributable to natural wear
and tear, incorrect treatment or misuse, failure to observe the operational
instructions, unsuitable operating materials, excessive demand, use for unau-
thorized purposes, interventions by the customer or a third party or other
reasons, for which ROLLER is not responsible, shall be excluded from the
warranty
6
Only use DVGW-approved soft solder and soft soldering paste for soldering
drinking water pipes. Observe the national regulations.
NOTICE
Reduce gas pressure only as far that the minimum length of the fl ame cone
stays at 8 mm.With a shorter fl ame, the soldering torch (spark generator) will
be damaged.
CAUTION
CAUTION
After use close valve of gas bottle and burn-off the remaining gas from hose
and burner.

4. Maintenance

4.1. Maintenance
WARNING
Before maintenance work, close the gas cylinder valve and allow the
remaining gas from the hose and soldering torch to burn off.
Clean the ROLLER'S Jet-Fire regularly, especially when it has not been in use
for a long time. Check the ROLLER'S Jet-Fire, gas hoses, gas cylinders and
valves for damage and leaks before every use. Replace damaged parts.
Only clean plastic parts (e.g. housings) with a mild soap and damp cloth. Do
not use household cleaners. These often contain chemicals which can damage
the plastic parts. Never use petrol, turpentine, thinner or similar products for
cleaning.
Make sure that fl uids can never get inside the ROLLER'S Jet-Fire. Never
immerse ROLLER'S Jet-Fire in liquid.
4.2. Inspection/Repair
WARNING
Before repair work, close the gas cylinder valve and allow the remaining
gas from the hose and soldering torch to burn off. This work may only be
performed by qualifi ed personnel.
Remedy:
● Gas cylinder valve open.
● Change gas cylinder.
● Change hose.
● Clean burner nozzle or have it checked/repaired by qualifi ed technical
personnel or an authorised ROLLER customer service workshop.
● Have ROLLER'S Jet-Fire checked/repaired by an authorised ROLLER
customer service workshop.
Remedy:
● Have the spark generator (piezo ignition) checked/repaired by qualifi ed
technical personnel or an authorised ROLLER customer service workshop.
Services under the warranty may only be provided by customer service stations
authorized for this purpose by ROLLER. Complaints will only be accepted if
the product is returned to a customer service station authorized by ROLLER
without prior interference in an unassembled condition. Replaced products and
parts shall become the property of ROLLER.
The user shall be responsible for the cost of shipping and returning the product.
The legal rights of the user, in particular the right to make claims against the
seller under the warranty terms, shall not be affected. This manufacturer's
warranty only applies for new products which are purchased in the European
Union, in Norway or in Switzerland.
This warranty is subject to German law with the exclusion of the United Nations
Convention on Contracts for the International Sales of Goods (CISG).
