Please note the following safety notes to avoid malfunctions,
damage or physical injury:
Make sure the power mains correspond to the type label on the appliance.
Persons with limited physical, sensorial or mental abilities are not allowed to
use the unit, unless they are supervised and briefed for their safety by a quali-
fied person.
Never leave the appliance unsupervised when in use. Keep it out of reach of
children or persons in need of supervision.
Never immerse the appliance in water or any other liquids. Do not put it into
the dishwasher. Do not use the appliance with wet hands.
Never place the appliance near or on hot surfaces. The appliance becomes
hot while in use! Use the appliance well away from walls and curtains. Do not
use spiky objects in the appliance.
Switch OFF the appliance and unplug it from the power supply before cleaning
or when not in use.
Always place the unit in a dry place. Never cover the air vents. Danger of fire!
The device is not intended for continuous professional operation. The device is
intended to be used in closed rooms only and in similar applications such as:
staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments; farm
houses; by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments;
bed and breakfast type environments. The use in any other way is not consid-
ered as intended use.
Never move the appliance by pulling the cord. Make sure the cord cannot get
caught in any way. Do not wind the cord around the appliance and do not bend
it.
Keep all parts of the appliance clean at all times as they come into direct
contact with food.
Use only original spare parts which can be purchased from Westfalia.
CAUTION: In order to avoid a hazard due to inadvertent resetting of the safety
cut-off, this appliance must not be controlled by automatic switching devices
such as timers.
Should the appliance become damaged do not use it and have it repaired by a
professional or contact our customer support department. Do not disassemble
the appliance or try repairing it yourself.
