INSTALLATION

WARNING: before carrying out any interventions, make sure that the power
supply is cut off.
WARNING: fan coil unit wiring and installation must only be carried out by
people with the technical and professional qualifying requirements necessary to
carry out installation, transformation, expansion and maintenance of the plant
and the ability to verify their safety and operativity.
Specifically for wiring it is necessary to carry out the following checks :
- Measure the resistance of the electric plant insulation.
- Test the continuity of the protection conductors.
Below are the essential instructions for correctly installing the apparatus.
In any case perfecting all the operations according to specific requirements is left
to the installer's experience.
All wiring diagrams are constantly updated. Please refer to the ones supplied with
the unit.
The method of mounting the brackets varies depending on the type of fan coil
unit and the size, consult the apposite manual.
Installing the KTL components on the fan coil unit:
- remove the wiring connection block on the side of the fan coil unit;
- remove the earthing unit from the side of the fan coil unit;
- fix the earthing unit to the racket with the supplied screws;
- fix the fan coil unit wiring connection block to the bracket;
- fix the fixing racket to the side (Caution: see the dedicated chapter), being care-
ful to pass the fan coil unit wires through the bracket through-hole.
- fix the fan coil unit wiring connection block to the bracket;
- reconnect the fan coil unit electrical wires to the wiring connection block;
- fix the KTL electrical box to the bracket;
- remove the KTL electrical box cover;
- carry out the wiring between the wiring connection block and the KTL electrical
box using the electrical plant supplied. Respect the indications on the wiring dia-
gram; the connections for the fan coil unit terminal are already wired to facilitate
connection.
- fix the air temperature probe to the screw, the support Is supplied, make sure
that the probe is correctly fixed and that the probe cable is not laid on sharp sur-
faces.
- lay the connection cable between the KTL connection block and the I.R. receiver.
- connect the cable coming from receiver to the RJ connector on the KTL board;
- remount the cover to the KTL wiring block.
Installing the KTL receiver on the wall:

The receiver must be installed in an easily accessed part of the wall which is not near
sources of heat, steam or direct sunlight, fluorescent lighting and at least one metre
away from televisions or other electric apparatus.
- use the supplied template to determine the point in which to drill a hole in the
wall;
- apply the wall plug and fix the receiver's back element;
- mount the receiver to the wall, pushing it against the fixed element;
- connect the cable coming from the board to the RJ connector on the receiver.

Installing the remote control support on the wall:
The remote control support is to be installed in an easily accessed part of the wall
which is not near sources of heat, steam or direct sunlight, fluorescent lighting and at
least one metre away from televisions or other electric apparatus.
- apply the wall plug and fix the remote control support.
