Connect the SCSI cable and terminator as shown
below.

devices on the SCSI bus

Turn off all SCSI devices on the SCSI bus,
including the library.
Caution
When connecting or disconnecting a SCSI cable to
SCSI devices (including the library), turn off all the
SCSI devices. Failing to do so may result in
damage.

Connect the SCSI cable to the next device on the
SCSI bus, connect the terminator to the last device
on the bus, then issue the host command to resume
operation.

Notes
• The total length of the SCSI cables between the
host computer and the last device should be less
than 12 m (39.4 ft.). (The library internal cable
length is 2 m (80 in.).)
• If the library is the last device on the SCSI bus,
make sure that you connect the supplied
terminator to the open connector.

make the required settings to use the library. Procedures
for making settings and using the S-AIT Library are
given in the "Operating Instructions" (PDF) together
with usage precautions and other necessary information.
