Day-acting element (DAE)

Using the day-acting element the heater can give off
warmth immediately even if it is not charged at all.
This is recommended for instance on cool summer
days where it would not be advisable to turn on the
whole heating system. The DAE works on the ON-
PEAK Tariff.
To operate the DAE, use either a suitable room ther-
mostat (wall-mounted) with DAE switch, or the integral
thermostat specially developed by OLSBERG to be
mounted on the heater itself.
The built-in thermostats F2.1 and F2.2 prevent the
DAE switching in and operating when the storage
heater is already charged.
Components
The DAE consists essentially of the following components:
Earth wire Safety thermostat (F2.2)
Day-acting element Thermal release thermostat (F2.1)
Note:
The safety thermostat and the thermal release thermostat are identical components.
