Intended Use
The Bluetooth
conference speaker is designed to be the hands-free system for mobile phones,
®
tablets, etc. Phone calls and conversations can be recorded and played back.
Additionally, the device can be used for music playback as well as as external speaker or
microphone combination for Windows computers.
Power is supplied by the built-in rechargeable battery. This may be charged only via a suitable
USB connection.
It may only be used in dry rooms.
For safety and approval reasons, you may not convert and/or alter the product. If you use the
product for purposes other than those described above, the product may be damaged. Moreo-
ver, the improper use involves risks such as short-circuits, fire, electric shocks, etc. Please read
the operating instructions carefully and do not discard them. If you pass the product on to a third
party, please hand over these operating instructions as well.

Safety Instructions

Please read the operating instructions carefully and pay particular attention to
the safety instructions. We do not assume liability for injuries/material damag-
es resulting from failure to observe the safety instructions and the information
in these operating instructions regarding the proper handling of the product.
Furthermore, in such cases, the warranty/guarantee will be null and void.
a) General
• The product is not a toy. Keep out of the reach of children and pets.
• Do not leave packing materials unattended. It may become a dangerous plaything
for children.
• Never expose the product to mechanical stress.
• Please handle the product carefully. It can be damaged by impact, blows, or by
being dropped, even from a low height.
• Never pour any liquids above or next to the product. Do not place any containers
with liquids, e.g., vases or plants, on or next to the product. Liquids could seep into
the casing and thus impair the electrical safety of the device. Furthermore, there is
a significant risk of fire or of a lethal electric shock!
• If safe operation is no longer possible, take the device out of service and secure
it against unintended use. Safe operation is no longer possible, if the product:
- has visible damage,
- no longer functions properly,
- has been stored under adverse ambient conditions for an extended period of
time or
- has been exposed to considerable strain during transport.
• If you have doubts about how the product should be operated or how to safely
connect it, consult a qualified technician.
• Maintenance, adjustment and repair work may be carried out only by an expert or
a specialist workshop.
• If you have any questions that are not answered in these operating instructions,
please contact our technical customer service or other professionals.
b) Operation
• Prolonged use with high volumes can cause damages to hearing.
• Never use the product immediately after moving it from a cold room into a warm
one. The condensation that forms might destroy the product. A power adapter also
carries the risk of a potentially fatal electric shock!
Allow the product to reach room temperature before connecting it to the power
supply and putting it into use. In some cases, this may take several hours.
c) Notes on rechargeable batteries
• There is explosion hazard if a wrong type of rechargeable battery is used! Dispose
of the used rechargeable batteries as described in the chapter „Disposal".
• Never throw the rechargeable battery into fire. There is a risk of fire and explosion!
• Charge the rechargeable battery on a regular basis even if the device is not used
(about every 3 months). Otherwise, it may lead to a deep discharge of the battery,
thus making it permanently unusable.
• If your skin comes into contact with leaking or damaged batteries, you may suffer
burns. Thus you should use suitable protective gloves.
• Liquids leaking from rechargeable batteries are very chemically aggressive. Ob-
jects or surfaces coming into contact with these liquids may be severely damaged.

Getting Started and Operation
a) Inserting the rechargeable batteries
The contacts of the battery are provided with a protective foil. Remove the film be-
fore inserting the battery.
• Open the battery compartment on the underside of the device and insert the supplied re-
chargeable battery.
• Pay attention to the position of the contact. The rechargeable battery has to be inserted such
that the contacts in the battery compartment are opposite the contacts on the rechargeable
battery.
• Close the battery compartment again.
b) Charging the battery
The USB connection at which the device is charged must have a power rating of
at least 500 mA. This is normally assured at every USB connection of computers.
Alternatively a reliable power adapter with USB outlet can also be used.
Prior to initial operation, the rechargeable battery must first be charged full.
• Plug the accompanying micro-USB cable in the USB interface (13).
• Plug the other end of the micro USB cable in the USB interface of a computer or another
suitable power adapter with USB outlet.
• The LED status ring (2) will display the current charging status:
red → the rechargeable battery is charging
blue → the rechargeable battery finishes charging
• The charging time is approx. 3 hours (depending on the remaining power of the rechargeable
battery).
