Using the camera mounts
• The camera mounts A (12) and B (13) can be used to mount the camera. Slide the camera
into the mount, heads first (side with camera lens).
• Camera mount A can be fastened e.g. to a wall with screws or hung by a hook. Camera
mount A can be adjusted vertically.
• Camera mount B has two functions. It can be attached to an article of clothing such as a
jacket using the clip. Open the clip to slide its top half into the uptake on camera mount
C (14).
• Camera mount C can be attached to a surface such as a wall with screws. It has a ball joint
and can be adjusted vertically and horizontally.
To remove the camera from mount A or B, it may be helpful to apply slight pressure
to the camera near its top to encourage the lower part of the mount to release the
camera. Detach the camera while doing so.

Charging the rechargeable battery

• Before first use, charge the internal battery with the USB cable for approx. 2 hours. Turn off
the camera during charging. When the camera is on, the blue LED remains lit. So make sure
the blue LED is off before charging.
• Connect the USB cable's Mini-USB plug (17) to the Mini-USB socket (2).
• Connect the USB cable's USB-A plug to a free USB port on your computer or USB charger.
The recommended output for the USB charger is 1 A. Charging via a charger or USB 3.0 port
(0.9 A) takes approx. 35 minutes. Charging via a USB 2.0 port (0.5 A) takes approx. 1 hour.
• Charging starts once the USB power source supplies current. The LED indicator light (10)
lights up yellow, as long as the rechargeable battery is being charged. As soon as the LED
indicator light goes out, the rechargeable battery is fully charged.
If the camera turns off automatically during use, check if the battery is drained.
Recharge the battery in such a case.

Operation

You can use the included wrist strap (16) to attach to the eyelet (8) if desired.
The camera checks the environment once every two minutes and, depending on the active
mode, switches either to night vision mode, day vision mode, begins or stops recording.
The camera features five IR LEDs (6). As a result it is possible to perform recordings in the dark
(night vision). Recordings with night vision are performed in black/white and are possible up to
a distance of 5 - 8 m. If there is sufficient light available, the recordings are performed in colour.
When the micro-SD card is full, the camera begins recording over the first recording. All the
other recordings are recorded over subsequently. So make sure to save the recordings to
another data storage device in good time.
a) Inserting and removing the Micro-SD card
• The product has no internal memory. It is therefore necessary to insert a memory card, in
order to save recordings. A Micro-SD memory card is not included in the scope of supply.
Micro-SD memory cards up to 32 GB are supported. The capacity of the Micro-SD card may
not be less than 16 GB.
• Before inserting or removing the memory card, make sure the camera is turned off and that
the product is not connected to a computer or to a USB cable and a power supply. This can
lead to damage to the memory card and/or the product.
• Before first use, be sure that the Micro-SD card has been formatted. Then carefully insert the
Micro-SD card into the Micro-SD card slot (4) until it clicks into place. Insert the card correctly,
as illustrated above. Do not use excessive force when inserting the card.
• Remove the Micro-SD card by briefly pressing it in and then releasing it. The memory card
can then be removed.
Regularly backup the memory contents of your Micro-SD card. A loss of data can
occur unexpectedly and at any time. Also remember to back up your data before
formatting.
b) Setting the date and time
• Connect the camera to the USB cable and your computer. The yellow LED lights up to
indicate that the battery is charging.
• Press and hold the Power button (1) for approx. 2 seconds. The blue LED lights up. Your
computer will recognize the camera as an external USB drive.
• Open the drive. The folder SETTIME.TXT appears on your screen. The date and time are
show in the following format:
yyyy-mm-dd (year-month-day) hh/mm/ss (hour-minute-seconds).
Change the date and time (type in the current time).
• Save your changes. Disconnect the camera from the computer. With some operating systems
the external drive must be ejected before the USB cable is disconnected from the USB port.
Disconnect the USB cable from the computer and the camera. The camera applies the set
date and time and uses these settings for recording.
• The camera uses the adjusted time as long as the battery supplies enough power.
If you do not find the folder SETTIME.TXT when you connect the product to the
computer, disconnect it from the computer. Record a short video to activate the
Micro-SD card inside the camera. Then try again to set the date and time after
connecting the product to your computer.
c) Manual recording
• Press and hold the Power button for 2 seconds to turn on the camera. The camera switches
to standby mode. The blue LED lights up.
• Press the record button (11). The blue LED flashes 3x and then turns off. The camera begins
recording a 10-minute-long video. The camera automatically detects night or day vision.
• Briefly press the record button during recording to end recording and save the video. The
blue LED lights up. The camera switches to standby mode.
• Press and hold the Power button for 2 seconds to turn off the camera. The camera switches
to standby mode. The blue and red LEDs light up briefly to confirm.
During recording, the Power and Mode buttons cannot be used. Press the record
button to stop recording and switch to standby mode. You may then use the Power
and Mode buttons again.
d) Recording with motion detection
The camera lens detects any movement in its aperture angle and begins recording automatically.
The camera stops when no movement is detected over a period of approx. 2 minutes. The
camera is then in standby for the next movement. The video length for motion detection mode
is approx. 2 minutes.
• Turn on motion detection mode with the camera in standby mode (blue LED is lit). To do so,
press and hold the Mode button (5) for approx. 2 seconds.
• The red and blue LED control light flashes 3x and then turns off to confirm the setting.
• The camera will now begin recording when any motion is detected. Please note this when the
camera is in motion detection mode.
• Briefly press the record button during recording to end recording and save the video. The
blue LED lights up. The camera switches to standby mode.
e) Recording with sound detection
In sound detection mode, the camera begins recording automatically when the built-in
microphone (9) detects a noise source over 60 dB. The camera stops when no sound over
60 dB is detected over a period of approx. 2 minutes. The camera is then in standby for the next
sound. The video length for sound detection mode is approx. 2 minutes.
• Turn on sound detection mode with the camera in standby mode (blue LED is lit). Briefly
press the Mode button (5). The red LED control light flashes 3x and then turns off to confirm
the setting.
• The camera will now begin recording when any sound over 60 dB is detected.
• Briefly press the record button during recording to end recording and save the video. The
blue LED lights up. The camera switches to standby mode.
f) Copying recordings
• You can copy recordings or view them directly from the product when it is connected to a
computer via the USB cable.
• After connecting to the computer, the yellow LED lights up to indicate that the battery is
charging. Press and hold the Power button for approx. 2 seconds. The yellow and blue LED
remain lit and the red LED flashes. Your computer will recognize the camera as an external
USB drive.
Playback of video recordings directly from the camera may be slightly delayed or
jerky. It is therefore recommended to first copy the video recordings to your computer
for playback.
• You can use the included Micro-SD card reader (15) to edit the files on your computer (save,
copy, delete) and view them on your monitor. Connect the card reader to a free USB port on
your computer. Suitable video software is required for playback. Video files are recorded in
AVI format.
• To copy the video files, go to the folder VIDEO and open the folder DVREC. Copy the video
files.
• Eject the external storage device (camera) and disconnect the camera from your computer.
