Regularly check the technical safety of the set and the connected
power source, eg damage of the connecting cable and of the
housing.
If there is any reason to believe that safe operation has become
impossible put the set out of operation and secure it against
unintended operation. Pull the power plug out of the socket outlet.
Safe operation must be presumed to be no longer possible, if:
• the camera, the control box or the connecting cables of the plug-in
power supplies show visible damage
• the camera, the control box or the connected plug-in power supply
no longer work
• the device was stored under unfavourable conditions for a long
period of time or
• exposure to extraordinary stress caused by transport
If there is a fault, plug-in power supplies can produce voltages of over
50 VDC, this can result in danger even when the original voltage of
the power supply unit is lower.
