(5) H-HOLD - When the picture has slanting horizontal
bars, rotate this control in either direction until a stable
picture is obtained.
(6) AC INPUT Socket - Connect the AC power cord
(supplied) to this socket and to a mains outlet.
(7) VIDEO IN/OUT connectors - For receiving the output
from a camera, a VCR or another monitor and for
connecting the video output of the monitor to the Video
input of another monitor or a VCR.
(8) EIA - CCIR switch - This switch is set to the
appropriate position corresponding to the video format
and power supply.
(9) V-HEIGHT (Vertical Height) - Adjust this control for
the vertical size of the picture.
(10) V-LIN (Vertical Linearity) - Adjust this control for the
vertical linearity of the picture.
3.2 Operating Controls and Connectors for
17" Monitor (Refer Fig. 4)
(1) POWER switch - Power on/off switch
Press the switch to turn the monitor on. Press again to
turn the monitor off.
(2) CONTRAST - For adjusting the proper contrast
between the black and the white portions of the picture.
(3) BRIGHT - For adjusting the brightness of the picture
and should be used in conjunction with the
CONTRAST control (2).
(4) V-HOLD - When the picture is rolling up or down,
adjust this control until a stable single picture is
obtained.
(5) H-HOLD - When the picture has slanting horizontal
bars, rotate this control in either direction until a stable
picture is obtained.
(6) AC INPUT Socket - Connect the fixed AC power cord
to a mains outlet.
(7) VIDEO IN/OUT connectors - For receiving the output
from a camera, a VCR or another monitor and for
connecting the video output of the monitor to the Video
input of another monitor or a VCR.
(8) SCAN (Over/Under Scan) switch - Set to OVER to see
normal CCTV application. Set to UNDER to see entire
picture.
(9) DC RESTORATION switch - DC restored operation
("ON" position) provides all shades of grey level from
black to white faithfully on the monitor and is
recommended in high light level CCTV application. DC
restoration "OFF" is recommended in low light level
CCTV application.
(10) V-LIN (Vertical Linearity) - Adjust this control for the
vertical linearity of the picture.
(11) V-HEIGHT (Vertical Height) - Adjust this control for
the vertical size of the picture.
(12) H-WIDTH (Horizontal Width) - Adjust this control
for the horizontal size of the picture in Over/Under scan.
3.3 Operating Controls and Connectors for
20" Monitor (Refer Fig. 7)
(1) POWER switch - Power on/off switch
Press the switch to turn the monitor on. Press again to
turn the monitor off.
(2) VIDEO switch - Toggle to select A for a signal fed
through the Video A connectors or B for a signal fed
through the Video B connectors.
(3) SCAN (Over/Under Scan) switch - Set to OVER to see
normal CCTV application. Set to UNDER to see entire
picture.
(4) VOLUME - For adjusting the audio sound.
(5) SHARPNESS - For adjusting the picture sharpness.
(6) CONTRAST - For adjusting the proper contrast
between the black and the white portions of the picture.
(7) BRIGHTNESS - For adjusting the brightness of the
picture and should be used in conjunction with the
CONTRAST control (6).

(supplied) to this socket and to a mains outlet.
(14) VIDEO IN/OUT (Video A/Video B) connectors - For
receiving the output from a camera, a VCR or another
monitor and for connecting the video output of the
monitor to the Video input of another monitor or a
VCR.
(15) AUDIO IN/OUT connectors - For receiving audio
from aVCR, another monitor or other equipment. Loop
through connection to input of other equipment.
(16) DC RESTORATION switch - DC restored operation
("ON" position) provides all shades of grey level from
black to white faithfully on the monitor and is
recommended in high light level CCTV application. DC
restoration "OFF" is recommended in low light level
CCTV application.
(17) V-LIN (Vertical Linearity) - Adjust this control for the
vertical linearity of the picture.
