E) Style Control

The keyboard has a total of 100 preset styles. (See Appendix II)
a. Style (Auto accompaniment)
To select a style
1. Press the [STYLE] button to set the keyboard to the "style mode". The "STYLE" icon will be displayed.
2. Press the [+] / [-] button or use the Styles Direct Select buttons to select the style you want.
To start a Style
You can start a style with various ways.
1. Without any effects
- Use [START/STOP] button to start the style.
2. In sync with your melody
- Press [SYNC] button. This ensures that the key starts in sync with the style.
- The style will initiate when you start playing melody (by pressing any key).
3. In sync with Auto Bass Chord
- Press [A.B.C] button to turn on the "auto bass chord" mode.
- Press [SYNC] button. This ensures that the auto bass chords starts in sync with the style.
- The style will initiate when you start playing a note or a chord on the CHORD area. (See section on Auto Bass Chord)
4. With an Introduction
- Press [INTRO/ENDING] button to insert an intro section before you press [START/STOP] button to play the style. (See
section on Intro/Ending)
To stop a Style
1. Stop immediately
- Use [START/STOP] button to stop a style.
2. Stop with an ending
- Press [INTRO/ENDING] button to stop with an ending section. The ending section will be introduced at the beginning
of the next section.
3. Sync stop
- Press [SYNC] button to stop playing immediately. The synchronized mode will be activated.
b. Sychronization
1. Press [SYNC] button to synchronise your melody or chords with the selected style.
2. The style will initiate when you start playing melody or chords.
c. Intro / Ending
This function allows you to add an introduction or ending to a style. Its length varies with different styles.
1. To begin a style with an introduction, press [INTRO/ENDING] button before starting the style.
2. To give a style an ending, press [INTRO/ENDING] button while the style is playing.
d. Fill A/B
1. Choose the desired style and press [START/STOP] button.
2. To insert a 'normal' style fill, press [FILL-IN A] button. LCD will display "NOR".
3. To insert a 'variation' style fill, press [FILL-IN B] button. LCD will display "VAR".
4. To keep repeating the pattern, press and hold [FILL-IN A] or [FILL-IN B] button.
e. Tempo
1. Press [TEMPO+ or [TEMPO-] button to change the tempo.
2. Press [TEMPO+] and [TEMPO-] buttons together to reset the tempo value to its default.
