7. Operation

D) Voices and Effects

There are 138 voices in total (See Appendix I).
a. Instrument Voice
1. Press [VOICE] button to enter voice mode.
2. Press [+] / [-] button or use the Voices Direct Select buttons to select the voice you want.
b. Dual voice
This dual voice function allows you to play two musical instruments voices simultaneously. When the dual function is off, the
voice indicated is "VOICE 1", when the dual function is on, the voice indicated is "VOICE 2".
1. During the "VOICE 1" status, press [DUAL] button to activate the dual voice function. "VOICE 2" and "DUAL" signal will be
displayed on the LCD. The dual voice number will also be displayed. The two selected voices will be overlapped.
2. To select your desired voice 2,press [+] /[-] button, or select by the Voices Direct Select buttons.
3. Press [DUAL] button again to turn off the dual voice function.
c. Sustain
This function generates sounds with a sustained effect.
1. Press [SUSTAIN] button to activate the sustain effect. The "SUSTAIN" icon will be displayed.
2. Press [SUSTAIN] button again to disable the sustain effect. The "SUSTAIN" icon will disppear.
d. DSP Effect
This effect creastes a more realistic sound for your music.
1. The DSP effect is ON by default.
2. Press [DSP] button to disable the DSP effect.
e. Pitch Bend
The pitch bend wheel can be used to bend the note upwards or downwards, ranging between +/- 2 cent.
1. While playing on the keyboard, slide the wheel up or down to bend the pitch.
2. When the wheel is released, the note will return to its normal sound.
f. Modulation
1. While playing on the keyboard, press and hold [MODULATION] button.
2. Release the button to exit the modulation effect.
g. Touch
This function allows you to control the dynamics of your notes by varying the pressure applied on the keys.
If the touch function is disabled, there will be no touch response.
Press [TOUCH] button to turn on /off the touch effect.
h. Transpose
You can change the key of your music with the TRANSPOSE function by adjusting the pitch in semitone steps.
1. Press [TRANSPOSE +] or [TRANSPOSE -] button to change the Transpose value from -12 to +12 semitones.
The LCD will display the current transpose value.
2. Press [TRANSPOSE +] and [TRANSPOSE -] buttons simultaneously to reset to its default value of 00.
i. Octave
This function can shift the key 1 octave up or down.
1. Press [OCTAVE +] or [OCTAVE -] button to change the Octave value from -1 to 1.
The LCD will display the current octave value.
2. Press [OCTAVE +] and [OCTAVE -] buttons simultaneously to reset to its default value of 00.
