Intended Use
The product is intended for both private and semi-professional use. This product is equipped to play gramophone
records at 33 1/3 or 45 rpm. It should be connected to a sound amplifier or a mixing desk with the appropriate
RCA inputs and may also be connected to a computer by USB. An audio output device (e.g. an MP3 player) can
be connected to the product via the 'AUX IN' jack, so the output signal of the audio device can be transferred to
the PC via the product. It is approved only for connection to 230 V/AC, 50 Hz. Use is only permitted indoors and
it should not be used outside. Do not use in humid environments, such as bathrooms.
Unauthorised conversion and/or modification of the device are inadmissible because of safety and approval
reasons (CE). Any usage other than described above is not permitted and can damage the product and lead to
associated risks such as short-circuit, fire, electric shock, etc. Please read the operating instructions thoroughly
and keep them for further reference.

We do not assume liability for resulting damages to property or personal injury if the
product has been abused in any way or damaged by improper use or failure to observe
these operating instructions. The warranty/ guarantee will then expire!

The product is not a toy and should be kept out of reach of children!
When used in conjunction with other devices, observe the operating instructions and safety notices of
connected devices.
The product must not be subjected to heavy mechanical stress.
The product must not be exposed to extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, intense vibration, or dampness.
If there is reason to believe that safe operation is no longer possible, the device is to be put out of operation
and secured against unintended operation. Safe operation is no longer possible if the device:

was stored under unfavourable conditions for a long period of time or

As source of voltage only a correct mains socket (230V/AC, 50Hz) of the public supply system may be used.
Extra care should be taken when starting up the product. Please follow the operating instructions carefully
in doing so.
When setting up the product, make sure that the mains cable is not pinched or damaged by sharp edges.
Products operated using mains voltage must be kept out of the reach of children. For this reason, be
particularly cautious when using the product in the presence of children. They may try to stick objects into it
through openings in the housing. Danger of fatal electric shock!
Never pour out liquids above electrical Products and never leave objects filled with liquids (e.g. vases) in
their vicinity. There is a very high risk of fire or of a fatal electric shock! If fluid does get into the product,
immediately disconnect the power plug from the mains socket and consult an expert.
Do not expose the product to high temperatures, dripping or sprayed water, strong vibration or heavy
mechanical loads.
Contact a specialist if you have any doubt about how the equipment functions, its safety or connecting the
product.
Do not place open sources of fire such as burning candles on the product.
Please dispose carefully of all packaging materials. Packaging may prove a dangerous toy for children.
Never operate the product without supervision.
The device is suitable for use in temperate and not in tropical climates.
In commercial institutions, the accident prevention regulations of the Employer's Liability Insurance
Association for Electrical Systems and Operating Materials are to be observed.
If you are not sure about the correct connection or if questions arise which are not covered by the operating

Installation

Platter installation
1.
The rubber belt has been pre-installed onto the turntable platter. However, please check that the rubber belt
is attached and is not twisted. If the belt has come off during shipping, fix in place.

Remove the u-shaped metal fixer from the centre of the platter, then remove the platter.

Place the rubber belt around the inner bottom ring of the turntable platter.

Install the platter on the centre spindle and press it down firmly. Check to make sure that it rotates uniformly
and does not wobble excessively. Replace the u-shaped metal fixer.
5.
Rotate the platter until you see the motor spindle. Carefully pull the rubber belt off the inner ring and install
it over the motor spindle. Take care not to twist the rubber drive belt during this step. Check that the platter
rotates smoothly and uniformly. If the drive belt is properly installed, there should be a slight amount of tension
that brings the platter to a stop after spinning it freely.
Dust cover installation
1.
Attach the dust cover mounts to the turntable.

Attach the dust cover to the turntable as shown.
Cartridge installation
1.
The cartridge has been pre-installed. Before replacing the cartridge, please also read the instructions from

Attach the wires, white (Left channel +), red (Right channel +) and the other two grey wires (ground).

Connection
Connect to other devices according to your needs.
Ground
1.
Loosen the screw on the ground port and connect a ground wire (not included) to it.
2.
Tighten the screw.
3.
Connect the ground wire to the other audio device. Read the instructions for that device before doing this.
4.
Grounding the turntable can prevent a humming sound while listening to music caused by electrical
interference.
Connection via the RCA jack
1.
Connect a mixer / a sound amplifier with the appropriate RCA cable.
2.
Connect the RCA cable to the 'RCA output L & R' at the back of the turntable.
3.
The signals generated from the cartridge are output via the RCA jack while the gramophone record is

playing.
Connection via the 'AUX IN' 3.5 mm jack
1.
Insert the 3.5 mm audio cable (not included) to the 'AUX IN' jack at the back of the turntable.
2.
Insert the other end of the cable to an audio output device (e.g. an MP3 player).
Connection to a computer
1.
Insert the USB type A plug into a vacant USB port on the computer.
2.
Insert the USB type B plug into the USB port at the back of the turntable.
3.
If the 'AUX IN' is connected, signals from the 3.5 mm audio jack are transferred to the computer via the USB
connection; otherwise, signals from the cartridge are output to the computer.

Operation
Playing a gramophone record
1.
Place the mat on the platter. Playing the gramophone record without the mat may cause damage to the
gramophone record and the turntable.
2.
Connect the turntable to the mains outlet.
3.
Select the record speed by pressing the 33 rpm speed select button or the 45 rpm speed select button. A red
LED lights up to indicate which speed is selected.
4.
Place the gramophone record on the mat. Use the adaptor (included) for 45 rpm gramophone records.
5.
Remove the protective cap from the cartridge. Unlock the tone arm and lift the tone arm with the tone arm lift.
Swing the tone arm to the desire groove position on the gramophone record and then lower the tone arm.
6.
Press the start / stop button to play the gramophone record. Press it again to stop.
7.
Lift the tone arm with the tone arm lift and put it back to the tone arm stand. Lock the tone arm properly and
cover the cartridge with the protective cap when the turntable is not being used.
Mixing / listening to music
1.
Connect the turntable to a mixer / a sound amplifier via the RCA jack.
2.
Play the gramophone record and mix / listen to the songs on the gramophone record.
Recording music via a computer
1.
Connect the turntable to a computer via the USB port.
2.
Select the turntable as the audio input device of your computer. Read the instructions for your computer
before doing this.
3.
Start an audio recording program. The audio recording program Audacity is included on the CD-ROM in the pack.
4.
Read the instructions for the audio recording program, select the turntable as the input source.
5.
Press the record button on the audio recording program and then play the gramophone record. Audio signals
from the cartridge are being recorded on the computer.
6.
If an audio output device is connected to the turntable via the 3.5 mm 'AUX IN' jack, audio signals from the
cartridge are not being sent to the computer. Instead, audio signals from the audio output device are being
transferred to the computer. Press the record button on the audio recording program to record the audio from
the audio output device.
Adjusting the playing speed
The product has been tuned before delivery. Users are not advised to adjust the playing
speed by themselves. An incorrect playing speed may lead to the wrong pitch.
Insert a PH00 (Philips head) screwdriver into the accurate adjustment running aperture and turn it. If you turn it
towards the '+' sign, the speed increases, if you turn it towards the '-' sign, the speed decreases.
8.
Disposal
In order to preserve, protect and improve the quality of environment, protect human health and
utilise natural resources prudently and rationally, the user should return unserviceable product to
relevant facilities in accordance with statutory regulations.
The crossed-out wheeled bin indicates the product needs to be disposed separately and not as
municipal waste.
